Chevrolet Corvette (C3) Indy 500 Pace Car Edition 1978

In 1978, alongside the 25th Anniversary Edition, Chevrolet also made a Pace Car Edition to celebrate the Corvette being used as a pace car in the Indy 500 for the first time. This was the first Indy pace car to use an entirely stock drivetrain, using the 220HP 350Ci V8 engine in the production car. The Pace Car was driving by 1960 Indy 500 winner, Jim Rathmann. Only 300 models were planned but Chevrolet decided to supply one to every Chevrolet dealer in the United States, bringing the production number up to 6502. One more than the 25th Anniversary Model.

The road car has no text on it, that's the actual Pace Car itself. But a clean one can look amazing as the first pic shows.
