Welcome to the 'Chevrolet Corvette Title Series'. A league designed for fun, fast and fair racing!
The race will be held over 6 weeks and 6 tracks ranging from continent to continent under day and even night!
I hope to see you racing soon 👍
- Saturdays
- 8:15 - 9:30pm BST
- Lounge for practice will be open from 5:00pm BST
- Qualifying will start at 8:15pm BST
- Race will start at 8:35pm BST
- Race will finish at 9:35pm BST
The car in choice for this series is the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (C6) '09. However you will need to perform a racing modification on it from GT Auto to take part.
The following list is what your are and not allowed to do to your car:
Allowed:
- Racing Modification
- Ridigty Improvement
- Purchase Racing Softs
- Tuning to your car (e.g LSD)
- Increase downforce to maximum
- Tune your BHP up anyway you want
Disallowed:
- Not limit your power by more then 2%
You are allowed to oil change, engine overhaul and restore body rigidity as many times as you want as the season progresses.
Make sure your Corvette reaches these performance levels listed below:
- 798 Brake Horse Power
- 1100 kg of weight
NOTE: You will have to limit BHP from wherever to 798 BHP.
To enforce these limits I will be limiting the BHP, PP and limiting the minimum weight to the above rules respectively.
You are also allowed to change the base colour of the car as well as the number. However, if a colour that someone has already picked is similar to the colour you wish to use, please change as it would be rather dull to see a wave of the same colour. Chrome and colour shift is banned.
The same goes for the number on your car. Your free to pick whichever number you want unless its already been picked. The number type required is 1.
Colour of the wheel rim can be any colour. Doesn't matter if someone else has also picked a similar colour.
The following list is the settings for my lounge:
Event Settings:
- Game Mode - Normal race
- Laps - The correct amount for the track
- Start Type - Grid start with false start check
- Grid Order - Fastest first
- Boost - None
- Penalty - None
- Automatic Race Start Cycle - Disabled
- Race Finish Delay - 120 seconds
- Grip Reduction on Wet Track/Track Edge - Real
- Mechanical Damage - Light
- Tyre/Fuel Depletion - On
Regulation Settings:
- Car Restrictions - No Limit
- Power - 798 BHP
- Weight - 1100kg
- Tyre Restrictions - Racing Softs
Every assist will be banned from the regulation settings except TC. ABS is not included so everything except ABS and TC is banned however TC will be limited to 1. These cars are not that hard to control, they're easier then LMP's but require some skill so you don't floor it of every corner.
Qualifying will begin exactly at 8:15pm BST and will last for 15 minutes till 8:30pm.
You are allowed to set times at your will in the 15 minutes however there are several rules:
- Once you set a time, you are allowed to exit to the pitbox but is not advised as it will reset your position
- If you are in an outlap or inlap, give way to others even if your not sure if their on a hotlap
- Do not cheat at all during the qualifying, I require trust from you.
- If you do retire to the pits via the exit button then tough, you'll have to set another time
- You are perfectly allowed to miss qualifying and start from the back of the grid for the race although you have to be on the track when the race countdown is started
Any breaches of the above rules will be penalized with up to -15 championship points depending on the severity of it. You will be banned if you repeatably break these rules.
The race will begin at 8:35pm BST and will last for roughly an hour to 9:35pm BST. It will be from a grid start with the false start check in place so please hold the brakes or use the handbrake till the race start.
Racing will be fair at all times. If you break any of the rules in this thread then you'll be subject to a penalty. The following list is what you may receive do you break these rules:
- Time added on to final race time
- Starting from the back of the grid at the next race
- Points taken away from the Championship Standings
- Points gained taken away from race
- Exclusion from X number of races
- Banned from competition
Remember, everyone makes mistakes from time to time i.e missing your braking point and slamming into the car in front. One thing you must do is let the unfortunate soul past again even if it does mean that you drop from 1st to last.
If you wish to report a racing incident, PM me within 2 days of the race having finished with the following details:
- Names of drivers involved (PSN and GTPlanet's name)
- Lap Number
- Which corner
I'll then review it and contact the other race stewards where we'll make a decision. Decisions is final. On the subject that the incident involves me or another race steward, contact the non-offending one and report per normal. In the unlikely scenario that we are both involved, we'll nominate 2 people to make the decision. Make sure to save the race replay after a race.
If you get disconnected, you'll be awarded half points if you've completed 75% race distance. Anything less then you get zero, sorry! If the number ends up being .5 then the number will be rounded down.
