The Chevrolet Vega may be one of the worst cars GM ever made (which is saying something), but the Vega Cosworth is pretty dang cool. With a Cosworth-designed twin-cam 16-valve head on a Chevy-designed 2.0L aluminum block and electronic fuel injection, the Cosworth Vega made 110 horsepower, which was fantastic for a smog-equipment-choked mid-'70s car with a four-banger. Upgraded suspension, an optional LSD and (on the 1976 version) a 5-speed manual were other improvements over the regular Vega. Just 3,508 were made over the two model years.
