I get to go see Chicago on Saturday. You all don't need to tell me how jealous you are. I know... I know.

Hahahah. If this was 1970 or so, I'd be a little jealous. Their first album, when they were actually named Chicago Transit Authority, is really very good. You'd never recognize them as the same guys even five years later... let alone, 32 years later.

Blah! Not a big Chicago fan myself. From what I've heard of them (Only 3 or 4 songs) They're a little too soft and lovey dovey...I prefer some balls out classic rock, like Judas Priest!

They are WAY too soft and lovey-dovey, starting with their second album in about 1972.

But their first album, Chicago Transit Authority, is actually pretty hard blues-funk-rock, believe it or not. I mean, there's a 10-minute song on it called 'Freeform Guitar' which is nothing but the guy freaking out, Jimi Hendrix-style. It's definitely worth a listen. You'd never believe they were the same band!
