Choosing your own car for manufacturer races

I know I saw this in the update and I saw other people using custom liveries in the races, but how?

When I try to enter, the first thing it does it send me to the manufacturer contract and I am forced to choose fro their catalog. My cars don't appear anywhere. How do I use the cars from my garage rather than the rentals? The way this has been implemented is SUPER non-intuitive.

You don't.

You can, however, apply custom liveries to the loan cars.
