Chopping help

Ok...when I was chopping I ws doing the lassoe tool and outlining everything to change the color of the car but whenever I would outline something else it would start as a new layer when it's supposed to look like this as I progress.

Ok. First off, you should be using the polygon lasso tool. Second, after you select the outline of the car, you have to Alt click everything else.

i.e. After you have outlined the whole car, you press Alt and click the next thing you want to outline.

Or you could just click on the Subtract from Selection button from the options instead of pressing Alt. The you can just go around the headlights, etc without pressing Alt.

Yeah lol of course I do but this has been up for a day and a half. (when I started this thread)
