Christian Bale and his Dramatic transformation

I just watched the Machinist last night and holy crap what a transformation from Reign of Fire to the Machinist to Batman. Thats probably the most insane transformation I have ever seen someone go through. And he gained the 100lbs back in a year!

Reign Of Fire (2002) 185lbs

The Machinist (2004) 122lbs

Batman (2005) 222lbs

It seems he did it again not the same extreme...

The Fighter

As you can see from the picture above, Bale has once again transformed himself for his latest movie role. He plays Dicky Eklund, a real life boxer who became a cocaine addict. Mark Wahlberg stars alongside him. While Bale obviously dieted hard for this role, he probably did not go to the extremes of the Machinist. He learned that it was very unhealthy to literally starve his body.

Soon Christian Bale will once again don the mask and cape for the next chapter of Batman. He'll undoubtedly focus on gaining muscle mass by eating high quality protein, carbs, and fat while performing high intensity compound exercises.
