Christmas gifts advice?

So there's this girl I like...

Wait! Stop! Come back! >_> Hope I haven't scared too much of you off.

Anyway, I'm in high school, we're friends and all that but I'm kind of bored of sitting around on my lazy arse sending glances in her general direction so I figured perhaps I could get her something nice for the holidays, get her attention that way, etc etc

Preferably something on cheap side, because I don't like to throw around money. And plus it feels tacky to me. I'm thinking of something more heartfelt and sweet, not just expensive.

I'd do some artsy craftsy homemade thing but me and my art skills haven't been getting along for the past decade or so.

Any tips/suggestions? Sorry if I'm being vague. >_> I'm not good with this whole 'other gender' thing...

Thanks!

2 words, Willow Tree. Most girls can't get enough of them for some reason, something I didn't find out until a couple of years ago unfortuantly. Angel of Friendship screams "friendship" with a touch of "I wanna bone ya bad". Perfect gift for any age. 👍

I agree wholly!

OK, all Napolean jokes aside.

Ever thought of candles? Perhaps knowing her favorite scent flowers, apples, or similar, candles are always a good idea. Plus they're fairly inexpensive.

Bath and Body Works.

The only store that you can get away with giving all the girls you know soap.

Even though it can be utter-bs in many occasions.

I've actually learned this myself, note the "sarcasm" tags. I just wanted to save myself from another fate where people think I'm saying sarcasm to save my ass .

Ask her friends what she likes.
That'll ruin any surprise as girls all gossip too much.

Get her a wrist watch.

Something nice, not too expensive but nice. Because...
a) whenever you see her wearing it it'll put a smile on your face.
b) If you ever get together, you can get the back engraved for a special occasion ;)

Draw her a picture of a Liger.
Draw her a picture of a can of lager.
Draw her a picture of a Luger.

Draw her a picture of Lex Luger.

What about an amethist(?) earing and necklace set?

You know like, the colour is the colour of her birthday month, i know its for xmas but its still cool, expensive in some cases depending on where you go, and defo not tacky, in my opinion, being a girl :p

Or a bracelet of a precious stone, like my auntie got me for xmas last year, its like, 20 beads of some pink stone with a little silver turtle charm on it.
sumink like that i would have thought would be best

cant go wrong with jewelery, apart from when its a ring, she might get the wrong idea :D

What about a CD of her fave band or is that too common and not "nice" enough?

Perfume? thats always a nice thing...

You could always get her a joke pressie rather than a "real" one.

Maybe shes not that kind of girl, maybe more punky? i dunno, you havnt told us anything about her, prezzies are meant to be personal feeling attatched i feel, thats why when you ask for help its really hard to give..

Wow, a lot more responses than I thought... >.> Thanks for the consideration, although I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to call a pic of Lex Luthor (comboed!) out of the question. :)

Sorry if I've stumped you guys by asking too much, it's just that I don't really know her all too well and (as mentioned) think it's not quite a good idea to ask around so I've been kind of looking for something hopefully more "general."

(should totally get a huge box with a tiny card that reads "insert gift tailored to your tastes and every whim here", while I'm off on that tangent :D)

Thanks!

Valexbird suggested you grow some cajones and ask her out. Then when she says No, you can buy yourself something nice with the cash. If she says Yes, then you're all set.

/discussion

Although the wristwatch is the best suggestion so far, in my book, if you don't want to take the above path. :p

I got one of my best friends a box of Godiva chocolates for her birthday some months back... it cost me $15 and she wound up sharing half of with me. She loved it, and I got some quality chocolate out of it 👍

Oh, and grow some cojones and ask her out if you really like her :)

Not trying to hijack your thread CardcaptorYoshi, but I might need some help too...
I've been living together with a awesome girl for three months now, and I would really like to get her something special. This girl really rocks my world. She is 22 years old, and since I'm a bit older I think that I could sweep her feet off with some really expensive stuff, but I don't trust my sense of style on this matter. And I dont consider expensive gifts as personal as something you guys might come up with :)

Any ideas? Mayby up to a price range of 300€ (=400$)
