Christmas in July!!!

So I'm not sure how many of you love Christmas like I do but the annual Christmas in July sale is coming up for QVC this weekend. It will give you a chance to get some decent discounts and some one of a kind items that you won't find anywhere else. It will also open up some OT for me to work:tup: (kidding) but I was just wondering if anyone else or their spouse/other spends a lot of time on QVC?

Keep me in your prayers as I will be loading Christmas trees onto trucks for the next...well until like December 22nd:tdown:
 
Will they be selling any Wham! albums? If they are, I'll take every last one of them and burn 'em for the benefit of us all!

I'd like to buy a Wham! album, then get as many GTP'ers in a lobby on December 23rd actually 31st since I just noticed the competition only ends at New Year, and play Last Christmas on my mic, 'cause I'm a lifeless jerk.

Yeah, my other half is looking forward to Christmas in July. I can't stand QVC, but the quality of their items are very good, and tend to be well priced (apart from anything by Kelly Hoppen or Thomas Kinkade).

I'll pass, I already celebrated Hanukkah in June and have to get ready for Kwanzaa in August.

Just curious why can't you stand QVC? It's a little expensive imo but I think people love the "flex pay" options. The only thing I've ever bought from QVC was from our Employee store!

QVC celebrates it nationally every year and has for a while now! It's not like people buy the stuff and put it straight up haha as a community we wait until December it's just when QVC has the sale.👍

It's nothing against it's founder, nor it's employees, my issue is simply the way I don't like the way they sell things. I'm a typical male, I prefer to do my shopping quickly. I will spend time researching, but when it comes to buying stuff, I'm quite quick, and QVC takes forever selling an item, and the overuse of superlatives, particularly by their UK staff, drives me to boredom. I'm always impressed with the quality of the items, and the flexi-pay is great, especially with no interest charged, it's just the way they sell.

Oh no I didn't think it had anything to do with employees or anything like that! I was generally curious I'm like you I prefer to learn about the item buy and move on not spend an hour on similar products!👍

My gf, her mom and my mom love QVC must be geared more towards females than males!
 
It's definitely more geared towards a female way of shopping, especially when they constantly use terms like 'fabulous', 'luxurious', 'decadent', etc.
 
Our local radio station played Mariah Carey All I want for Xmas the other day! So they're already celebrating. :dunce:

See thats a little over board to me...Im talking about just buying a tree and throwing it in the attic for a few months the tunes shouldn't start until December at least imo.👍

Agree entirely.

However we've used artificial trees since '04. Ours is a series of white wires with bulbs on the end. Shaped like an Xmas tree and lights up the entire room, it's great! Real trees are nice to have as they give off a nice smell and what not but they're a pain in the a** to maintain.

As for songs, every year they go on my iPod on December 1st and come off January 1st. Everyone starts celebrating it in October now which is just completely stupid! :grumpy:

Yeah I like real trees but my gf wants to do the artificial thing as well. So we'll probably get one this weekend! I'm not sure if she wants the kind you guys have or one thats supposed to look like a real tree but I'll let her decide! Couldn't agree more on the music though! I have a pandora channel one month a year I'll play it...thats it!
