My girlfriend's dad just bought himself a PS2, and wants to get into video games a little bit, mainly war games (which there are a lot of). I was trying to think of something to get him for christmas and my girlfriend suggested a PS2 game. And here is where I turn to you guys for help
and here are some things I was thinking of....
- A game with a nice walk through tutorial at the start would be great I think, something to show you what each button does, you know, hands on learning.
- If its a shooter game, maybe an adustable difficulty level (easy, medium, hard, etc..) or just a plain easy game to start with. He is in his late 40's, and the last time he actually sat down and played a video game might well have been on the original Nintendo.
- A game where time is not an issue, where you can move at your own pace.
I dont think he's really interested in any racing games, he claims to have enough fun in his 540 to and from work each day. I dont know if he would get into any of the GTA games, although I might let him borrow one since I find them to be relatively easy (to a point) and possibly a good game to learn the controller layout, even if you arent trying to achieve game completion. He is currently borrowing Medal of Honor Frontline from me, but I dont think he's tried it yet.
Ok so have at it, lets throw some ideas around, the clock is ticking but thankfully I still have time
