I have 1091 cars right now and I've never seen a chrome paint of any kind. So, two questions.

Is it possible some games don't hand them out? (Seems unlikely)

Does any one have a good handle in what the probability of seeing one? Is it as likely as any given matte color or less likely?

I seems pretty random, I have more cars than you and I only got chrome once, I have also heard people never getting chrome paint. The best thing to do is trade for some if you want it. I have received many matte paint, which I actually like better than chrome.

Okay the "special" paints (mattes and chromes) come to you when the number of cars in your garage hits a multiple of 30. Your next chance is at 1020 cars (34x30). When you get that many cars, you'll get a notification that the number of cars in your garage has reached 1020 cars, and that you received a paint item for reaching that number.

If it *ISN'T* Silver Chrome or Gold Chrome, DON'T hit the "Okay" button - instead, quit the game (use the PS button), restart it, and get the message again, until you get a chrome (either silver or gold). THEN hit okay.

ETA: Dang it - I read your post as you having 1011 cars, not 1091! So your next shot comes at 1110 cars, not 1020!
