The last couple days i've started to recive some security warnings when visiting sites like GTPlanet, ForzaPlanet, Facebook, etc etc.
Well known secure sites. At least should be.
I don't have any anti-virus programs which are blocking anything either,
it just suddenly happened.

Only thing that sort of helps is to un-install Chrome, then re-install it, then it'll work for about 5 mins, then same problem comes up.
Only site acctually working all the time is obviously enough www.google.com.

The error:
You tried to reach https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/, but the server gave an invalid certificate.
You can not continue because the site provider has requested increased security for this domain.
:dunce:

I get same error with multiple sites, and GTP is one of them.

I really like Google Chrome, and I would like to keep using it.

Anyone know how to fix this? :scared: :nervous:
And please not "clean install of Windows 7".... >_<

Hmm, I used Chrome earlier and no security warnings appeared. I use McAfee AV.

Do you mean you don't have any AV software at all?

I do have, but it was never a problem earlier.
Just suddenly started getting those annoying errors...

Edit: Just checked after playing some BF3, when trying to log out and in again in battlelog, getting same error.

This is a known bug in the latest version of of Google Chrome; there's an article on it here and it's being discussed in Google's bug tracker.

That said, I don't understand why you would experience such an error on GTPlanet or ForzaPlanet, since neither site makes use of secure (HTTPS) connections or security certificates. Perhaps Chrome is borked even more than what Google realizes at the moment.

For now, just use another browser.

Thanks for the heads up.

I'll try a different browser. ;)

Weird , I always used google chrome (btw I love it too) and no problems never

Same thing, I've actually only seen it once or twice for about the whole time I've used Chrome (About 6 months). It runs cleanly and swiftly on my PC, Just like a golden pickaxe in Minecraft!

Yes same here.
I use chrome / IE8 / and cometbird / Which is like firefox.?
Plus I have several pages on each open at once.
And I can report no problems on any ATM (Fingers crossed)

I find it easier to have certain pages open on different browsers has some work better that way. But am sorry can not help you with your problem, But thats how I get round things like the OP is experiencing?
Chat soon bye for now.:)

I've been browsing GTP on chrome for the last 6 months and have had no problems like this. If you want security, use Firefox though. It's good with that sort of thing.

My AV is Norton 360. I browse with FireFox. I highly recommend these two. I tried Google Chrome and didn't have the certificate problem. It was laggy and the pop up blocker would never work.:guilty:
