What car should I use to compete in the 24h race of La Sarthe,

Toyota Minolta 88C-V - with stage 4 turbo
Sauber Mercedes C 9 - with stage 4 turbo
Nissan R92CP - with stage 4 turbo
Mazda 787B - with stage 4 turbo

I am going to B-spec it because I dont have the time to A spec. :indiff:

which car do you recommend?

Answer is in the General Endurance Race Help thread.;)

Well, to answer your question, I think all of the cars you mention should win it.....the question would be : is you B spec driver good enough ? (B spec points).

If he's experienced, you should not have too many problems.

As for me, I won it with a Minolta 88C + stage 4 turbo + super hard tires on rear + hard on front.

The advantage I see in using this car (instead of the Sauber C9, for example), is that I can win another one, mileage free, quite easily (el captain endurance, not too long). I would not like to kill the sauber I won in the F1 championship, just for one race. (but this question depends on the version of the game that you have - different prize cars list)

Hope it helps,

Snypa

B-spec driver skill ain't that important. I had about 3000-4000 B-spec skill I think, when I won all 24h Endurance races.

And my Minolta is still good, even after 20,000-30,000 km or so. My Minolta has done both Le Mans 24h Endurances.:)

Yes, I agree with you on both points :

- for the first, I just wanted to say that a few B spec points is still better than 0.....I mean, I read so many threads where peole were complainig about their b spec driver. I would just bet : the most points you have, the most chances you get to win.

- 2nd point : quite the same way of thinking, I'm quite sure you can do a lot of amount of mileage with the same car, but (and I also read some threads about this), if I should have a problem with a car, I would prefer it to be easy to re-win.

Couldn't agree more with you on both points.;)

Maybe the B-spec driver gets better indeed, but I think the probs like crashing into the wall at the Hunaudieres straight will stay forever. But I've read some things about B-spec drivers doing weird, where I had no probs at all. For example, the Infineon, have done that one on B-spec with my Bentley Speed 8 Race Car, no probs at all, while others complained about their drivers to go off track a lot of times. But like I said, my B-spec driver ain't that good.:s

I think my Minolta can just do a little more miles, before it's not usable anymore. And I'm planning to do the El Capitan Endurance again, dunno which car to use now though, with my Ford GT '05 it was just too easy for me in A-spec.

Use a Trueno, because if you're good enough, power doesn't matter.

There are certain races where that car could NOT win without defying a few laws of physics... I'd like to see you beat a LM prototype in a Trueno.

ermm which 24 h u doin... Chicane or no Chicane, please specify!! 👍
anyway... the no chicane one.. use a fast car, i did ALL enduro expt the motegi ring (Circle 150 miles) with bspec... anyway, use an audi r8 or a minolta... what i used...
also for the one with chicanes, u can use the minolta but it wont be good as it has major tirewear... i used the audi again... i was thinkin bout the bently.. but i didnt. anyway if you get the sauber... tough one but if you do.. then use that in all your enduros... its a amazing enduro + track car.. GoodLuck! 👍

so do you guys think I could use my 787b with a stage 4 turbo? think that would win?

You should win with that car. But make sure the 787B and Sauber Mercedes are not in the race, otherwise you won't stand a chance. The Minolta is the fastest car in the game (or is it the Sauber Mercedes? On the Nurburgring I'm quicker with my Sauber Mercedes...:D).:)

I think you could win with that car. When I won Le Mans II with my minolta Toyota, the 787B was my main opponent, as he went to pits after around 12 laps (6 for my b spec !). So, the car should be ok, as it seems to be not hard on tires.
I've also heard that the Pescarolo were very good on tire wear.

Good luck,

The Minolta, especially on the Le Mans II enduro should kill all the other cars on the straights with a stage 4 turbo. Hell, with min downforce, very long ratios and 70 nos, it can do 300mph! No other car does much more than 220mph, so it should be easy to win with super hard tyres.
The Pescarolo 2004 has little tyre wear judging by previous expert races, but I don't think its the fastest car out there though. I may be wrong tho!

don't use a stage 4 turbo. power is not the key. your B-spec driver will mess up more if you have a stage 4. And when you be spec it, don't put it on overtake. put it on 3 or 4 with no overtaking.

OMGITSTAKUMI! truenoissogood. youcouldjustgutterwithitaroundthewholetrackandnotlosespeed!!!11!11one :dopey:

I think you should use a stock Fiat 500R. :sly:
What I think and what you should use are two different things though. Any of those cars should have no problem winning. You should win by atleast 2-3 laps easy. 👍

and then sit back and watch him come dead last

Your sure it wasn't the Ford T-Model? 💡 Ohno, it was the stock Daimler Motor Carriage.:p Think you should win by 4 laps at least.:p

Yeah, I wanna see someone beating the LM Group C cars with a Trueno too.

lol i NEVER use B-spec untill i faced with 24 hours Nurb... i let her race for 24 hours nurb on (42 A-spec point) last 10 hours (when i was only 1 lap than anyone) and i woke up, she got 6 laps than anyone while on pace 4 with overtake is on then i took over again at last 3 hours and didn't get 42 a-spec point :(

also i never see her got off track either (but not on every last every 3 lap while tires is RED ready to pit stop at last turn... it's normal like i always do)

so no skill or good skill is about same.. lol or it's glich???

Sorry my gammar ****

Don't spend to much time in Endurance Races, you will only have a progression of 0.4 ~0.5 in those races, so it isn't worth.

 Unless of course 100% completion is NOT your only goal in GT4 💡

The way to win both 24hrs.
Use the minolta, RH/RSH, stage 4 turbo. Keep entering race until BOTH 787B and sauber are out.
Set to 3 overtake.

You will win by 4 laps or so.

I won both 24hrs this way so i'd know! =P

I just won La Sarthe 24hrs(chicaned) using a stage 4 turbo 787B prototype. Started last night and finished early in the afternoon. I was up against both the 787B and the Sauber C9. I was able to lap the Sauber(2nd place) two times. I ran mediums in the front and super hards in back.

Using the same setup, I beat the Sauber on Fuji 1000km as well.

The great thing is, even though I'm killing my 787B with the enduros(also used it for Motegi and plan on using it for La Sarthe unchicaned), I can always replace it for pretty cheap when the prototypes show up again. 👍
