I know this is hardware section, but seeing as this section is full of simmers I find it reasonable to post here.
Anyways, http://citycardriving.com/ - a driving sim, does anyone have it? How are the physics like, how does it's ffb perform, how does it compare to rFactor and such (physics-wise)?

I'm planning on getting it as soon as I get my PC so I'm in a need of data.

I've never even heard of this, but I think I'll download the demo and give it a go... My girlfriend wants to learn to drive and I'm about to start building a sim rig so maybe I can tempt her away from Hollyoaks with this. Apparently doing laps of the Nürburgring in a Porsche 911 RSR Cup isn't a good way to learn city driving, but what does she know?

She's 26 with terrible taste in TV programming, by the way, not 16 or anything.

Actually sim racing doesnt teach anything useful in reguards to everyday city driving. the most important tools we get from sim racing are car control on the limits of adhesion, and decision making sharpening. people can say its good to be able to predict other cars decisions and that it relates to city driving decisions, but they really dont translate over frim track decisions and city decisions. the best way to teach someone city driving is to tell them about what the other drivers will do before they do it so one can learn predictive defensive driving. most decisions have to be understood through experience though

I was being severely sarcastic, but you're right, of course. She doesn't know much about driving at all (I was quizzing her the other day and she didn't know what order the pedals are in, for example) so it would be interesting to see if she learns anything from a simulator at all, but at the end of the day I expect a simulator would help an experienceless driver to learn to drive as much as Arma II has taught me how to be an effective soldier!

Easy way for her to remember pedal functions is the ABC method. Except it's backwards lol.
Accelerator, Brake and Clutch.

Im thinking of getting this. Ive been watching Vids on YouTube. Hope you can be bad on it.....LOL Ive always fancied having a realistic game where I can do naughty driving that I would never do on the real roads!

What does the demo actually give you? I can't seem to find the differences between full and demo anywhere.

Hence why you play street racing games for that

Any one have this game? I finally got it, buts its being a bitch and I can't assign the controls for my G27 properly. Any help please?

Please, anyone? Imma a bit angry that I just spent $30 on this game and can't use my wheel with it properly!

Their website has information relating to how to assign wheel controls. Here.

I know that, I've looked everywhere on there, thier forums are useless. I can't assign the Clutch or H-Pad, which is a big part of the wheel. I'm thinking I need the Logitech Profiler, but the Logitech site is down for maintenance right now.
