Civic question.

Your paying that much for a Civic Type R engine. Man for that money you might as well get some domestic junker and put it together with an extremely more power engine. But then again, what is a power band???

Why a B16B, though? You're better off with a B18C or a B18C5, which'll cost less, and have more displacement.

Exactly.. the B18C would be a better choice and probably cheaper than the B16B. Get the Integra Type R engine which is B18C5 it should be cheaper and more power from that engine.

4500 bucks for a motor, god thats really high. Why don't you just buy some mods for your Civic and get more horsepower for less money. Hell buy a supercharger.

If I were you, before doing an engine swap I'd consider trying to find a CRX DX or Civic DX with a blown engine and sell the Si... the amount of money you'd get from that would probably help you out :)

i would not doubt that one civic engine will fit into another civic. then you have to deal with other issues such as gearbox, brakes, fuel delivery system, drive shafts cv joints etc...
as for the b18 engine swap, i think it will require much more labour. custom mounts may be required.
the h22 may be a bit too big tho fit in a civic. that engine is a bit more broader than a b16.
if you like cheap thrills go for the b16. it may not produce the same HP as the other engines but it comes on harder than both the b18 and h22 when the second cam kicks in. plus its cheaper and easier to fit. probably mopre fuel efficient too.
