Hello,

Spent a while trying to find some suspension tunes for the above car in its hatchback form but not got anywhere.

In stock form around the ring it is extremely bouncy. I trippled the spring rate and lowered the compression + rebound which made it much more stable - but I was simply guessing  It likes to snap out on me now.

Would anyone care to share their own setups? Cheers

I have a totally stock Civic Type R (EP) '04 on Sports Hard tires and from my memory it is a fairly stable car on the Nurb. I think by upping the spring rate 3x on your car, you've actually made it very very stiff and causing it to bounce off the road therefore the sudden snap behaviour it has developed.

What upgrades do you have on the car? Power or weight reduction?

Do you use a wheel or DS3?
If you use a wheel, it is possible to feel the tires leaving the road because of dampers and springs that are too stiff.

I've tried upping the spring rate on my Civic Type R (FD2) '08 to about 2.5x stock.
Although this is a different car but I think the general rule still applies, it was so stiff that the steering wheel was going loose every time I went over a kerb or bump in the road. The steering became very loose as there was no resistance from the tires on the road as they were floating in mid air.

Yes I in no way thought I was doing the right thing, merely a quick guess!

The car is just under 300HP from memory, fully N/A. I use a wheel and its quite a battle even of the straights.

I am using sports softs.

If you attempt to play with it id be interested in more feedback :)

Little bump for this.

I just looking for examples of what others are using so I can test to see if it matches up to my style I guess.

years ago, i used to autocross an EP... iirc, we decreased front sway bar, increased rear sway bar, increased rear springs a ton, increased front springs a little, and tuned the shocks for the course.

The Honda Civic is one of my favourite cars in the game and I think I've tuned it the way it feels very precise to me. I use a T500RS and a Dualshock, so on both controls it is (in my opinion) handling perfectly. If you are interested in my setup PM me and I'll give you more details. I tend to have the civic on very very stiff springs, but what really matters is the toe and camber angle for turn-in response.

Edit: Sorry, my setup is for the Type R (EK) Racing Modification from 97, my mistake. But if anyone is interested in that one, please feel free to P.M. me
