Yep it pissed me off so much I finally switched over to Standard Physics and was able to beat it

I did too. Still feel the acid burn in my stomach from that PITA mission. SO stupid, and so little to do with actual racing...

I've done it with pro physic and finish 3rd but before doin' it I've lapped Daytona for about an hour or so.
I use DFP to run

Oh man! That looked so real! OMG! I wanna drive like that all the time! Wow, what talent!

Kidding of course. I came to a point on that particular mission where I just coudn't take it any more, and set standard physics. Then I easily got 3rd and passed. Good enough for me. Had it been a proper race I'd have kept at it. I prefer my wins to be at least somewhat genuine. It's that kind of mentality that shows online as well. As long as you cross the line first it's all right.

Same with me. The best I could get on pro physics was 3rd, and I feel my driving was flawless.
