Please HELP!!!

This is doing my head in , I have been trying and trying and I got 4th place ONCE - Now i best I can reach is 6th place. :grumpy:

Ironically I have managed to get GOLD (:)) in all the races in the B Class but cant do this one race and im minutes away from SMASHING my sixaxais at my tv.

My driving options

Transmission: Auto (Tried Manual and still only 6th)
Active Steering: Off
Driving Physics: Professional
ASM: Off
Traction Conrol: Off
Driving Line: On

Does anyone know why dont I have access to change my tyres?

Any Ideas??? 👍

What I did was just went for a 3rd place finish (I ended up getting 2nd on a later attempt by fluke), I don't think it is possible to win on Professional, at lest not until you open up the QTS menu where you can setup and tune your cars performance. I'm waiting until I've unlocked that before I attempt it again, which you unlock after beating the A class races.

As for the tyres, I don't think you are allowed to select your tyres in the Event races, only the Arcade races, some online races perhaps and the drift trial. The events restrict your tyre choice.

So what your saying is I shouls not have the Driving Physics set to professional, that should really make a difference. Well thanks for your input... I'll try that now...

My last post made no sense... what I meant to say was:

Got there in the end... lol

1.385 seconds behind 3rd place, im getting dere!!!

@Poker_Face

You are not making a good start here, first we have the off topic and borderline spaming poll and now I have had to merge three of your posts together. If you take a look around here you will find no evidence of double, triple, etc posting. This should give you a clue that its not acceptable here, so please do not do it.

On the topic of your last post, why should the standard vs professional physics not have that much of a difference? They would not serve much use if they didn't differ; one is designed for a more arcade style of physics and are very forgiving, the other is designed to be close to 'real' physics. Stands to reason they would differ quite a bit, otherwise why bother.

Thanks in advance

You should try to get in to the slipstream of the car in front of you. I have never managed to finish the race on the first or second place though.

Quick tune is not enabled in the events A,B,C class.
Even after completing them and getting it for the S class events, I went back and tried because I have only a silver in the Eiger tests B3 & A3 (Just can't get to grips with that track yet (pun intended))

But B-6 is the Integra round 1 lap of High speed ring, and to be honest is tricky but with the right technique completely doable even with Professional handling.
The key is getting fast exits to the right/left combo before the tunnel, and slip-streaming/drafting on the straights.

Practice,practice,practice.

I just went all out aggressive which is something i don't normally do TBH and it paid off once and i ended up coming 3rd.

I managed this license test with "silver" (second place) but only a few inches behind the Mini ! Could really be possible to do this one in gold !!

Did it this way: Driving Setup on "Standard"

First a good slipstream and full throttle until the first real left corner. Then braking (too !!!) late overtaking the Focus on the inside and using the following compact car for braking (sometimes you can "lean" on that car without being too unfair), then immediatly taking the slipstream from the next two cars (which normaly drive side-by-side and change from the right side to the left side / middle of the track. By braking late you can easily overtake these two cars without getting into any trouble in the following right/left S-curve-combination.

The next two cars normaly leave the track already on the entrance of the Combination. The Problem is: They come back !!! And they do that mostly, when i am exactly side-by-side with them. The best that can happen is the following: The first car crosses the line exactly in Front of my Car and the other car is already behind me crossing the line. Then this should not have any affect on my driving.

As already said, the exit of the corner is the most important point of the test. Early on the throttle, then drifting wide to the outside (gras is possible and no problem) and then immediatly taking the slipstream from the Delta Integrale. When exiting the tunnel you should be overtaking the Lancia. (by the way: You can easily overtake here on the inside (!!!!) with the complete Integra on the curbs. Maybe this is also the best line for the following banking left corner)

On the banking you should stay outside and overtake the VW Golf. Then again pretty early on the throttle and using the slipstream of the next car (i think it´s a Clio V6 !?!?).

Managed lots of second places yesterday, but didn´t get first !

Hope this helps

The key-Positions for this tests are the tight first left (with the focus) and the exit of the s-combination !

This one wrecked my head aswell but after reading the post above its pretty dam accurate to what i had to do to manage a 3rd place finish. It is very tricky and as much as i hated to do it i had to complete on standard physics cos i was losing to much time with eager throttle in and out of the S bends...you really need to be drafting coming out or else your doomed for the "do and die" lunge into the last hairpin! lol

I finished this event on professional mode so it is attainable. Tyres are set for all c,b,a events.

I'm not the most talented player of GT but I started the C Class in Professional physics and I managed Gold in all races except the Hot Lap in High Speed Ring.

I used Manual Gears, no Assistances or Race Line.

Racing with the Integra at one lap at HSR is all about drafting. The Honda is light enough to go quicker around the corners and powerful enough to pass slipstreaming in straight line.

Just avoid the other cars who would slow you down.

You're probably just better than me then. I guess I'll have to keep trying now a fewpeople are saying they managed it on Pro.

I haven't done a single race in standard physics yet though, I prefer to take a silver or bronze than a gold in standard. Once I do that for one race that's beyond my skill the next step is doing it for races that I can do but are a struggle and after that it's using it as a time saver to rack up the credits. So I don't want to go down that road, but I'm definitely giving this another go.

This is doable in pro mode, and alexsteffen already nailed how to do it. There als is luck involved though. I noticed that the laptime of the Cooper S that usually finishes first changes a bit from time to time. So even if you get it perfect, the Mini might have been just too quick. I managed to get 1st on pro with a 1:31.5xx today, which isn't that fast, considering that the Mini can finish with a 1:30.xxx. So, you need to get it perfect and have a bit of luck. :)
