Does it really do anything? Because I've never seen it make a difference.
I think people just feel good when they click it.
Its not a magic button that when you click it, it makes all of your problems disappear. :sly:
If you have a bad connection, you have a bad connection right? Will the magic button really make a difference??
AM I RIGHT?

No, try clearing the cache on your web browser, it will speed up page loading times a lot. In GT5, you don't notice it as much but it can help.

A lot of people have said that to me.
Specifically, what is the little thing that clearing your cache does?
Because I notice absolutely nothing.

It clears whatever GT5 stores in cache memory, whatever it might be. You'll notice some things load quicker BUT some things slower. I rarely clear my cache as it takes longer to load your garage, menus, and friends list avatars.

I only clear it when I'm online for more than 4 hours in ONE room, when I either quit or switch room, I'll clear it just to get that stuff off the memory. It helps but its not a huge difference.

Your cache will also grow if your b-spec grinding. I also run a friends b-spec drivers and he said he notices his cache grow when we run his drivers a lot.

You are misinformed. Your web browser cache contains parts of web pages that you have visited before which helps the page load faster the next time you visit it. Clearing your web cache will actually make the page load slower the first time you visit it after which time it will again load faster because of the cache. Clearing your cache only helps your computer run a bit faster, not your web browser.
