Hi all,
A bit of a weird one this; I have a triple-screen system (specs here) which has been working perfectly well now for about a year but has since started 'playing up'.

When booting, about 25% of the time it will only boot to one screen (with messed up resolutions obviously). At the same time, there is a 'double-clicking' sound from the region of the two GPU's, which sounds like a relay switching. It will make this clicking twice; once at POST and once again just before displaying the one screen.

If the system boots normally to three screens, it only makes the clicking sound at POST. It also makes a clicking sound just before shutting down (single-screen and/or triple). I have never been aware of this noise before.

I'm not sure if it's the GPU(s) or something on the motherboard. I'm 99% certain that it's not the PSU however. Are there even relays on modern motherboards?!?

No hardware or software changes have been made recently so I'm concerned as to what this could be.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. :)
