Hello all;
I'm currently looking for a Clio tune based around most tracks and am planning on running it with all types of racing tyres, so I'm looking for a versatile build. The power ratio for this car is 115% (249 BHP) and the weight ratio is 95% (1120kg). The car drives okay on the stock tune, but it seems to understeer a little bit going around tighter corners. Allowing for the front tyres to be worn down less over time would also be much appreciated, since this is being used in a one make race that's probably going to last a hour or so.

Thanks in advance,
Arachon.

I too have been playing around with the Clio RS settings, but have yet to find the right balance.
I always have trouble tuning FWD cars, but I'd like a good tune for the Clio RS as I really like the car (in real life).

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi guys,

it's still in progress but maybe could help you. I'm a DS user and a 'throttle-modulation' fan so be careful on exit turn.
Any suggestion would be appreciated.
Have a great day

Hello guys,
I've had a look at the car myself and this is what I've come up with.
It's actually been done by a friend of mine whose not on GT Planet but it's done wonders for me and I hope it works for you too.

Clio 220 Trophy:

Power Ratio: 115% (249 BHP)
Weight Ratio: 95% (1120 kg)

TCS: 0
ABS: 1

Racing Hard Tyres (may work for sports, haven't tried)

Brake Balance: 3 (towards rear)

Suspension:
Ride Height: 98mm/100mm
Natural Frequency: 1.70Hz/1.68Hz
Anti-Roll Bar: 8/6
Compression: 62%/63%
Rebound: 91%/93%
Camber Angle: 1.9/0.9
Toe Angle: Out 0.04/In 0.22

LSD:
Torque: 11
Acceleration: 26
Braking: 18

Transmission:
Set final gear to 4.670
Set final to 124mph (left)
1st: 2.263 @ 47mph
2nd: 1.709 @ 62mph
3rd: 1.352 @ 78mph
4th: 1.108 @ 95mph
5th: 0.929 @ 114mph
6th: 0.813 @ 134mph

Alternatively, just leave the transmission stock. It's pretty good already. Apparently transmission flips don't do anything in GT Sport aside from lowering the top speed slightly, but that's from my experience.

I also looked at your three tunes on Brands Hatch GP, though I took the TCS off on your tunes as I don't play with it on:

squander: This tune gets the car a bit unstable under braking. When turning higher speed corners as well, the car sort of went between understeer and oversteer. Tighter turns were quite nice on the car however, and the gearing worked pretty well.

Jeje6410: Understeers a lot. I took some corners almost 10mph slower than the other two tunes! The braking is more stable than squander's tune, however.

Kenbol: Probably the best of the three tunes. Very stable. However, there's a lot of body roll and I'm not sure how that'll affect the tyres in the long run. I'd also look into trying to make the car turn somewhat tighter at higher speeds. I think you're on the right track though.

Anyway guys, enjoy my tune! I'm open to feedback if needs be.

Thanks a lot for your comments and feedback. I will try to correct this problem of understeer. Thanks again my friend

I used to hate this car. It was actually a fun little car to drive with the tune, so thank you. I couldn’t tune if my life depended on it
