Hey yal, long time viewer first time poster. :) .What i would like to hear about is what car and settings can i use to create a competitive race in the pro, xtreme events or any other race for that matter.Im trying to get my moneys worth out of the game. I dont wont to play it, just to complete it. 👎
Love the game and this site, any suggestions would be a bonus :)

Hi, goocho, and welcome to GTPlanet. People who like to fight for their wins are always welcome. Funny how those who just use the fastest eligible car they can find are always the one who complain about how the Missions are impossible or getting silver/god on the License tests is too hard or how the one-make races are unwinnable...

So that was a long way to go since I can't answer your question (I'm only about 7% done), but pleased to meet you anyway.

"Slightly" better is one thing. I mean people who use the most over-classed car the game will let them enter. Race cars against street cars, LMP cars against race cars, F1 cars against LMP cars... too much power and too much downforce will cover up too many mistakes.

Ya its funny reading how some drivers are saying they absolutly molested the competition,a full lap ahead in a 5 lap race.to bad the game dosent have real damage,it would seperate the true drivers from the wall riders.

In many of the races it is hard to find a well balanced car, since the AI cars are seldom balanced. Take the Professional Classics. The field I competed against had an 11HP car and a 400+ HP A/C Cobra in it. Most of races with LM race cars throw in a freakin' GT car. Try chasing a 900 horse Minolta in a 600 horse '05 Ford GT LM. I love the game but the AI field balance could've use a little tweaking. You can usually exit and re-enter to get a more balanced field, but there always seems to be that one car you play **** beating. But I guess thats part of the fun.
Like once I entered the American Muscle with a slightly modded Ford Lightning truck. It was pretty cool watching the replay, a pickup truck against muscle cars.

yeah the variety in cars for the AI is really annoying. I'm doing all the condition events right now, and it's annoying to find a car that fits well. When I was trying to do the 2nd hard, I choose a 300hp car and they put me against a 350hp one that smoked me in the straights. So I get a 350hp one and they put me against a 270hp one.

Use my Ford mustang settings list in my sig and compete in the American GT series (The one with the Panoz esperante). It is possible to beat the Panoz.

Nice setup on the mustang Jaberwocky.Im watching the replay of the Infineon course i just raced, Came in second to the GT40 , I had the lead then lost it on the last corner, combination of worn tires, and braking to late. lots of fun though, pressering me the whole time on the last lap.
Nice looking car,to bad i had to ad a wing from a Top Fuel drag car LOL,all it needs now is blue lights under it and the exhaust from the space shuttle LOL...LOL.

You can beat the Esperante with the Mustang, I've manage to do it. You have to qualify on some courses, or else the Esperante has too big a lead. The Panoz is faster in some sections, but there is a small opportunity to pass it during late braking on some sections. Have fun.

[EDIT]

💡 Duke could I post a thread here in GT4 Car Tuning & Settings , with the topic called - "Why Your Topics are Locked"? Hopefully it will help you guys

If you really tune the hell out of a saloon car, you can take the road version GT racers on at Le Mans ( Sarthe ). I love driving the really heavily tuned cars, but in order to get some A spec points, I need to take on Zondas and GT 40's, etc... with my 22B Subaru, racing on Sarthe II, with difficulty level 2 I got just over 40 points. I am hoping to try a bit harder, when get used to it more. With the draft I managed to get the Scooby over 325 km/h and still get a respectable lap time. I'll post the settings for it if anyone asks.

one good race I have recently experienced is the Hot Rod race in the american league.

By the name, I was expecting a bunch of muscle cars, so I took my '69 Camaro.

The race is full of late model american sports cars that are more or less on the same playing field, except for the lightning that sometimes makes an appearance.

All of the cars are moddified moderately. The dodge viper SRT-10 seems pretty close to stock, but is usually the winner. The Cobra R, New mustang GT, Corvette Z06, etc. that show up finish within 10-15 seconds of eachother after the race.

I had very close races with my old camaro, with 500-something HP and stage 1 weight reduction w/ a tuned suspension.

I have a GTO now, and look foward to a close race.

I do whats necessary to win a race .. the only thing that stops me from sliding round a corner hugging onto the wall is getting the opportunity to make an amazing replay! :dopey:

Try using the Corvette stingray L46 350 with NO MODS(4 spd trans)in the stars and stripes, seattle circuit,3laps. 122 A-spec points and remember its not a bumper car so dont scratch the paint.
