zzz_pt's vision of the theme:

"Something is not going right... "

UNIQUE RESTRICTIONS: -

3unlimitedrules-1.png

Please, ensure you read and understand all requirements for this competition. Failure to follow
the rules may result in disqualification. If you have questions, send me a Private Message.

This Thread will answer many possible questions you may have.

• It is recommended you host your image on ImageShack, Photobucket, or Flickr.
• Not sure how to post a thumbnail or preview image? Read this sticky!
• Please use a clickable-preview to full-size, not a separate text link for it;
it makes poll creation much easier!

• One entry per user.
It must be your own work, and never previously used in a comp.
• Do not ask other users to choose your entry.
• Mark your FINAL ENTRY clearly, with red text.
• You may change your entry once. Do it clearly; edit out your previous entry, and
either post the new one in a new reply, or in place of the original.
• When submitting, use either a thumbnail or a preview image, linked to the full-sizer.
• Preview images can not exceed 500 pixels in either direction.
• A preview image must be representative of the full-size image. Do not add effects to it.
• Do not post "Honourable Mentions" or outtakes - just your Final Entry, that's all.
• Winner gets to choose the following week's theme, as well as the Top 25.
• Winners cannot enter in their own theme!
• The Host may ask for the original image and it must be submitted if so.
• It's recommended to save the original image (preferably in-game) until week's ends.

• Crop and/or resize an image.
• Adjust the level or curve values.
• Alter the colour tone of the image (gradient maps, photo filters, colour balance, etc).
• Car body colour change (all stickers/design features must remain, see "Remove Items" rule).
• Adjust brightness, contrast, exposure, shadow/highlights.
• Enhance shadows or highlights (dodge and burn tools in Photoshop, for example).
• Add noise and/or diffuse glow.
• Add a post-game tilt-shift blur, or apply a motion blur to a stationary Photomode shot.
• Make use of Layer Blend Modes.
• Use a Sharpening filter and/or tool.
• Scale or enlarge rims.
• Remove or modify license plates.
• Remove the GT watermark.
• Add a personal signature.
• Clean up or fix jaggies, texture pixelation, or colour separation.
• Add a vignette effect.

• Artistic filters are allowed; that means green light for lens flares, ghost effects, etc.
• Weather edits are allowed but do refrain from using it on every single entry you put out.
• Multiple photos are allowed, HDR and photo-stitch away!
• Selective colouring and masking of the car or background is allowed.
• Light leaks, dirt particles, fractal effects, typography, and any along the lines of the mentioned are allowed.

• Small images outside of GT5 is allowed. This includes logos, car body parts (e.g. rims, decals), textures (e.g. retro filter grain), small objects (e.g. trees, grass).
• Large images are, however, disallowed. This includes background swapping, placing a whole car into the photo, changing the environment entirely and etc.

• IMPORTANT: Winners, to allow for a more open competition (not too restrictive), please limit the description of your theme at your own will. (Try to avoid themes like "Mazdas at Nurburgring", or "Only at Trial Mountain")

Please refrain from distancing away from the theme with your edits, saying if there is not really a need for a weather edit, it is recommended that you don't add it in.

Ruleset has been given a thorough rethink and is about finalized. Do still give thoughts on it though. Cheers.

Failure to follow these rules will result in ignored entries and/or disqualification!

1. Thank you to all that voted for my entry in the 1st week. :) I can't see who did it :S

Same unique restriction as last week?

No restrictions :) warm or cold, it's your choice.

Fat Buff Guy, your entry is great, but I don't see nothing "wrong" in it... it's "too perfect" :D

If I understand the theme correctly, it means pictures of "things going wrong"? 💡

I saw the warm thing again and was like ooooh oooooh ooooh. Entry will be changed lol.

Final Entry (changed)

Please do not judge my terrible photoshop abilities, I have no photoshop experience at all.
I knew this was wrong from the moment it happened.

Try not to explore the "bugs/fails" of the game but create something nice. :) Be creative :D

This wasn't a bug, just a clip and a bad launch, look closely at how care-free the driver in the Subaru is.

If you think it's a good 3.0 entry, it's OK for me ;)

I hope the theme gets well interpreted :S

I interpreted the theme the way you'd say oh no. Like oooooohhhhhhh nooooooooooo, like screaming it while something has gone horribly wrong.

I have an awesome idea for this:D now if i can just develop the skills to implement it:sick:

Final Entry
"Glitch Hop"
*awesome shot*
Holy crap gtuned that looks amazing . It's as if the car was disintegrating, I don't know if that's what it's supposed to be but I love it 👍.

Should be stated more clearly that this comp is for EDITS. A few shots over the past 2 comps have had pics entered that are so minimally edited it's hard to see what they bring to the comp. 👍

I just wanted to get mine in before editing it, I need some inspiration. I know what I want to do, just the tools at my disposal dont quite do it justice.

^ This...

Is the judge allowed to cut the entries that have minimal edit? I mean, entering with an almost unedited shot (or just contrast/light adjustment) doesn't make much sense. 3.0 it's for people experimenting/develop/showcase edit skills...

Final Entry
"Glitch Hop"
Inspired by the glitch mob?

The judge can cut anything:D

Exactly this, this is a big boys competition in my eyes. For the playas.

Stuff like this though, is going to make us "little guys" not want to compete which will eventually not bode well for the 3.0 👍

this is not only for the "big boys" but for everyone that want to improve their edit skills too. :) I mean, adjusting levels, contrasts, etc is not a 3.0 edit work. But if people try and challenge themselves with a more "heavy" edit, even if not perfect, will be good (because of the learning process and feedback).

Everyone is invited to enter but "please" be creative and push yourself a little :D

I don't think that was meant as a put down, it was more of a statement about the 3.0 being a more advanced comp, there are no Big or Little guys...we're all equal here. 👍

Like zzz said, push yourself. If you want to enter the 3.0 don't try to create the worlds greatest edit that's ever been made of all time ever, just push yourself beyond a quick brightness/contrast/saturation edit.

Anyone who doesn't feel comfortable or is not able to do a very heavy edit then there are always the CCCL, PMC, SS and 2.0 competitions to enter 👍

^That sums up it well! I'm thinking to enter something as well. :)
