Further explanation of the theme, as described by Beeblebrox237:

"This week I get to command a theme I've wanted to see for a long time: spy shots.
It seemed that GT5's inclusion of the GTR Black Mask was begging for a recreation
of a Nurburgring test session. So that's what I'd like you to do. Take a photo of this car
at the Nurburgring that might be featured on Jalopnik or topgear.com as a spy
shot of a new car (in this case the R35 GTR) being performance tested. Have fun!."

CAR: Nissan GTR Black Mask.
LOCATION: Nurburgring Nordschleife.
UNIQUE RESTRICTIONS: No filters, please, and keep it realistic.

This Thread has everything you need to know.

  • There must be at least some detail of the background (location) visible in the picture that
    can later be identified to be part of the location specified in the theme. If the location is
    not immediately clear from the picture you must provide the exact location if it's queried.
  • Only one entry per user allowed and must be that user's own work and never used in another
    competition.
  • Do not ask other members to choose your entry.
  • Entry post must be marked with a FINAL ENTRY text.
  • Entries may only be changed once and it must be indicated clearly.
  • Entries must be posted in either thumbnail or a preview and linked to it's full size.
  • Posts containing bigger previews than allowed, full sizes or links only will be ignored.
  • Previews should not exceed the limit of 500px in either direction and have any effect not
    present in the original image.
  • It's recommended the usage of a free image hosting service, such as ImageShack, Photobucket
    or Flickr.
  • Only the Judge's favourite 15 entries will get through to the poll.
  • Keep in mind that the Host of this competition may ask for the original image and it must
    be submitted if so.
    It's recommended to store the original image (from the USB stick) until competition week ends.

:sly: The idea was that it would be challenging to recreate a spy shot, but not impossible.

Here are three real spy shots of this car, for a bit of inspiration. Note that the photographer wants to capture the car as best as possible.
 
FINAL ENTRY


Karl was merrily biding his time shooting photographs of trees for next month's Auto Bild magazine when all of a sudden, he heard a loud sound fly by him. He immediately turned towards its source, taking a picture of it as fast as he could. He couldn't believe his eyes as the photograph developed, staring in awe as Godzilla charged its way through the forest.​

There are currently 15 entries, so that means that everyone will be in the poll. I'd love to have a few more to choose from, so I'll keep this open until about 8:00 EST.
