Further explanation of the theme, provided by CCShaft7:

"Taking inspiration from ijkhk4's recent winning 300SL Benz shot in week 108 I'd like you to take any non-race car/cars from the 60's or earlier to the track or a photo-travel location and shoot a mono-chrome/tone or sepia image. Want that classic bygone days era feel to the shot."

CARS: 1969 or earlier. Multi-car allowed as long all fit the criteria.
LOCATIONS: Any
PHOTOTRAVEL: Yes ...except Red Bull Hangar
UNIQUE RESTRICTIONS: As above... no race cars

Sorry for the delay... doing this at work so gotta be swift :sly:
Could i get some feedback please?

A good edit and nice tone to it.... only spoilt by the framing for me, seems 'cut-off' at an awkward place for me on the right-hand side of the picture. This same shot with more of the car in the frame or in landscape mode would have improved it IMO. 👍

This was a close poll-maker. I like short depth of field shots :) that is until they cross the line of making the subject a 'minature'. I was probably being picky but the car looks toy-ish .... camera moved in a little closer then zoomed out with the same settings would be the trick here :sly: Composition is spot on though :)👍

love some feedback too:

Under-edited, I assume?

That said you might be right.... seen similar shots lifted right out of GT5. Nothing really much wrong with your shot other than its a missing a bit of 'wow' to it. Can't put my finger on it but maybe a different angle and not having the car smack in the middle of the image would make a big difference....I hope this helps :)

Thanks for the CC. Appreciate it.

I like the shallow depth, personal preference and probably wouldn't have changed it.

You're welcome FBG 👍 ..... and you're right to stick with your personal preference..... what may not suit one Judge one week may suit another. its all subjective and thats the beauty of trying to get the right balance each and every theme :sly:

id like some feedback as well please!

1960 'Vette by Jarrett R., on Flickr

thanks.

Love the setting, love the car ( as you probably already know  ). For me its just crying out for the lighting to be raised a little in post-edit on the front of the 'vette to make it  to me and stand out from the background..... really is the sort of shot I would have took and that still makes it a fine shot in my book 👍 just not quite a poll sitter sadly :indiff:

I'd love feedback too. :)

The Little Mouse by DocArmor98, on Flickr

A similar thing to FBG's before whereas this is'nt the lighting...which is good, but the choice of colour for the 500 in its environment, it blends in with the dark area behind it .....a lighter/whiter tone maybe. Probably works well in the colour version of the pic. Nice idea and setting though 👍

Loose by 1 vote again haha. Thanks bmxmitch, DarkR, dice1998, driftinziggy, headhorse, Mat123, mp10, Primus Ortus, StrayShadow for the vote and congrats to DarkR for the win 👍

^ ShaolinMasta won.

Gongrats ShaolinMasta

ps: Would be nice to add the Theme description to the poll... Just say'in.

Congrats to Masta.. Kinda sad that I received 0 votes but my poor composition and some fantastic entries by others equals lesson learned .. :)
