Further explanation of the theme, provided by DarkR:

Did you enjoy GT5's opening cinematic? Either the original or Spec II's, it's not important: this week, your mission is to reshoot it, how you wanted to see it! Snap an image that uses a car and track combo seen in either intro movie - feel free to post a link and relevant time stamp for clarification - and wow the crowd!

CARS: Any (sort of)
LOCATIONS: Any (sort of)
PHOTOTRAVEL: Yes
UNIQUE RESTRICTIONS: Shoot a car/location combination based on a sequence/freeze frame from GT5's Opening Movie

Wow! This poll is really good! I can find reason for voting for every single pic here, which I've never experienced before!

Woohoo! First poll I've made in a while. :D Now if I could just get something up there that can hang with the big boys. Looks like ZEROX might run away with this one.

 - I thought the Nascar pit stop would be differnt, but I guess editing isnt all that great :nervous:

I would love to have some feedback please:

1) The editing was not enough?
2) The lack of detail on the inside of the wheel?
3) Nato's shot with fireworks made it a simply better shot?

Bland composition?
^ One thing

The other is that the snow covered too much of the left rear of the car, and it seemed rather uneven.

Another suggestion is to use the normal wing instead of a GT Wing.

Thanks, Matt.
FYI, in the intro, the wing was present.

Bland composition?

It was a good picture, but needed a little more speed, maybe from another angle could have worked

I'm asking for some feedback, DarkR :)

Something's missing, just can't point it out :ouch:

Some of the details in the cars were lost in the darkness, maybe if the photo had been taken in another place in the same circuit with better lighting, it would have been a much better

The editing is good, maybe a little more brightness, would have improved the image, but the picture itself is a bit simple. Nato had the idea to include the fireworks, which made his picture stand out a bit more.

I thought i had a pretty sound entry this week, could i get some feedback?

I see some dust around, two cars in a hot pursuit, but I see no motion blur in the picture, that's the problem with your pic

No, I paused for a thousand times, and this is the brightest place (apart from the tunnel), the lighting on SSR7 is very dim :indiff:

I guess the only way is to change the entry completely on a different track with different cars.

Thanks DarkR, I had a shot that had motion blur as it was mode 3 but I chose the mode 1 picture instead because I liked the gravel texture. Thanks again for the feedback though:)

Would the EV have made any impact? I know in tunnel shots (HSR, etc.) bumping it up is near useless but I haven't tried on any of the night tracks in the open.

Well I was happy to make the poll and somewhat disappointed in only getting one vote... perhaps the use of the warm filter ruined it...

No, once I turn the EV up, the side mirrors of the RS6 and the headlights started 'glowing' :grumpy:

SpecialStageRoute7_85eert.jpg

where did i go wrong?

I'm pretty sure it falls under these:

What you may not do to a photo:
Remove items from shot (scenery, other cars).
"Creative cropping". The main "image" must be four-sided, with 90-degree, upright corners.

Also, I think it's not this poll case, but while doing the HOF I've seen plenty of shots with changed license plates, like this one, and I am pretty sure they fall under these two rules:

What you may not do to a photo:

Alter the geometry of the car. No stickers, or body modifications not available in game.
Add shapes or objects from outside of GT5, signatures excepted.

It's only within the rules if you do it yourself, using text tool only. Any external object is forbidden under 2.0 rules.

I never said, you can't remove or modify a licence plate, in fact as I said:

You can remove or modify it if and only if you use Photoshop only for it. Using external license plates image found on i.e. Google, are forbidden under 2.0 rules, and as of lately I am seeing ALLOT of modified license plates using external images to GT5.

I find it unfair, since it seems to bring more realism to the image and that seems to be one of the biggest voting factor since the beginning of GT5 Competitions.
