Further explanation of the theme, provided by rpanico14:

"This week I want you to showcase two elements; Black & White photography and 'Design'. Show me a car, a building or anything else for that matter that has some form of artistic quality.

Combine this by shooting your photo in black and white. For a good B&W photo look at the shapes, tones and textures in your shot.

Considering this is 2.0, I’d recommend shooting in colour in GT5 and processing your photo in B&W afterwards. If you like you can use a monochrome shot."

CARS: Any
LOCATIONS: Any
PHOTOTRAVEL: Yes

I originally thought this theme is going to be better for me, because you can't use the full spectrum of colours, and I'm nowhere near good at colour-editing.

Turns out I'm wrong, the masters are still masters, and I don't know what to do with a B&W image.

May I have a bit of feedback, rpanico14?

Didn't expect to be in the poll after so many months out of the competitions.

Voted for Zambuca.

Your pic is worth the poll – unfortunately there are 15 positions only :(

Thanks again for the appreciation :)
It's a fantastic poll, with competitive entries, so I don't think my amateur work could have replaced any of the ones in the poll. :p

👍 to all the entries.

I kinda knew I didn't stand a chance at the poll this time. B&W isn't my strongest side. Difficult to choose from the poll, haven't cast my vote yet.

Votes seem pretty spread out at this stage. Entries are really strong. Must be hard for rpanico14 to judge. Voted for at1503's, absolutely love the composition in there.

Sure! Raphaele pretty much sums it up. Yours was one of the last to miss the cut, I just felt that the depth of field was a little too strong. It's a really nice photo though and I can't really critique it any further :)

I see that the poll is superb as expected. :D Any criticism on my entry?

rpanico14 , Good luck to your school work and wish you all the best.

May I have some comments on my entry?

Woot, zero votes. Not doing very well on my other entries too, and it's not only just been happening on just this week either.

Seriously considering retiring from the GT5 PMC comps...

:indiff:

At least you made poll SVX! It is hard running against the masters though, but I do it for fun :)

Your entry is very good, on another week it might have made it. It lacks a little bit of drama however, I wonder if you could 'add a light burst' through the side of the tunnel. With some noise added I feel it could transform the shot. Oh and the edges of the licence plate are distracting.

Thanks, and congrats on an original shot. Two things stood out for me; I felt the composition could be better, it's almost there, but from this angle the rear of the car is slightly awkward. Secondly, I think this shot would work better if the Zed was still doing a donut, something like mode 1 and 1/60 - 1/250 shutter speed?

I'd like some critique on mine too --

looks like i can do with some feedback too

I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to give your feedback together suzq044 & mattmflok. This will come across as harsh so don't take it personally, but without editing your shots you're really going to struggle to make the polls. The skill level with the shots in 2.0 is really high and unedited shots from GT5 will lose image quality the second you get them off the PS3, so you're already at a disadvantage.

Give editing a go, just simple things like adjusting brightness and contrast will make a surprising difference. I've attached a link to a guide which will help to make your photos look how they appear on your tv.

Other than that, try picking a photo or two from the polls which you like and try doing your own version of it. Hope this helps :)

Thank you, rp. Best of luck with your studies!

I know it's a bit late but could i get some feedback to?

I was really impressed with your shot and wanted too include it in the poll, however there are few areas where the trees in particular, are badly rendered. Plus the tree in the top left takes up a lot of the frame. Close, very close ;)

Oh yes, me too with the feedback. :dopey:

Again, another good entry. The GT logo is distracting, the surrounding colour is all black so it would have been easy enough to remove. Other than that I just felt that the bokeh effect is done well, but ultimately it just shows a rim and not much else. Regardless, I liked your entry as I prefer to see photos where someone has tried something original, compared to a 'standard' photo.
