"A week today sadly saw the passing of a New Zealand F1 great - Chris Amon. Chris was one of the Kiwi trio of Bruce McLaren, Denny Hulme and himself racing in the glory days of Formula One for New Zealand drivers.
His Formula One career spanned from 1963 - 1976 in which time he also had numerous drives in the 24 hours of Le Mans. Whilst Chris often enough got to stand on the 2nd and 3rd steps of the podium he never quite managed that elusive win and is regarded as one of the best drivers to have never won a Formula One championship race (though he did win 2 non-championship point races). He did have that success at Le Mans however, winning the 1966 24 hour race with Bruce McLaren in a Ford GT40.
From the marques available in GT6 Chris mainly drove Ferrari, Ford and Lotus and of particular note in the GT6 line up, the Ferrari 330 P4 and the Ford GT40. So in memory of Chris Amon, this week take any Ferrari, Ford or Lotus from the years of 1960 to 1976 for some laps around any period Grand Prix circuit (see below) or Le Mans."
