Please, ensure you read and understand all requirements for this competition. Failure to follow
the rules may result in disqualification. If you have questions, send a PM to SlipZtrEm, Scaff, or Terronium-12.

  • It is recommended you host your image on ImageShack, Photobucket, or Flickr.
  • Not sure how to post a thumbnail or preview image? Read this sticky!
  • Please use a clickable-preview to full-size, not a separate text link for it; it makes poll creation much easier!

  • No post-FM4 editing, besides rotating and proportional resizing, is allowed.
[*]In the case of Big Shots, you may resave in a more web-friendly file format
(though you will want to hold onto the original for the week).
[*]One entry per user. It must be your own work, and never previously used in a comp.
[*]Do not ask other users to choose your entry.
[*]Mark your FINAL ENTRY clearly, with red text. On H2H weeks, which side, as well.
[*]You may change your entry once. Do it clearly; edit out your previous entry, and
either post the new one in a new reply, or in place of the original.
[*]When submitting, use either a thumbnail or a preview image, as a clickable link to the full-sizer.
[*]Preview images can not exceed 500 pixels in either direction.
[*]A preview image must be representative of the full-size image. Do not add effects to it.
[*]Do not post "Honourable Mentions" or outtakes - just your Final Entry, that's all.
[*]Winner gets to choose the following week's theme, as well as the Top 25. Every fourth
week, the poll will be H2H style: entries must choose a "team", leading to two 12-picture,
4-day polls. The winners from each faces off in a final 48 hour poll.
[*]Winners cannot enter in their own theme!
[*]The Host may ask for the original image and it must be submitted if so, by uploading to your storefront.
For this reason, it's recommended to save the original image until week's ends.
Failure to follow these rules will result in ignored entries and/or disqualification!

@ BryCivicSi: In my book, your entry does not suit the theme.

i dont think you understand the theme of this contest, both pics you posted are of engines not engine covers ...

So, what's is the difference between yours and mine exactly? That you can see the intake? Everyone else has pics of valve covers and so does mine. Or is the "engine cover" the trunk/ rear glass in all these photos?

You already answered your own question.

apologies for not knowing you all are mislabeling items on cars. And engine cover is the little plastic thing in the engine bay manufacturers cover the engine with so their owners can't tinker with crap no more.

Engine cover:

I just want to mention the reason, why I mentioned the Miura in the info:

In FM4 you cannot get a solid shot of the engine valve cover, which hints about the types of engine cover I want people to focus on.

Instead of hinting at what you are looking for, why not explain it right the first time? And I asked specifically what you wanted when I posted the Ford GT pic and you didnt help me clarify it then....

I thought the other entries, would of shown what the theme is about.

how hard is it to take a pic of a covered engine ???

cant be that hard with 8 "correct" entries :dunce:

It is hard for me to come up with an unimaginative photo of a car I don't like to drive or find visually appealing. These may be all "correct" entries but none of them are photographically any good and IMO, Ferrari and Lambo don't make great looking cars to begin with.

then why disrupt the contest with all your negativity ???

if you cant follow the contest rules go elswere...
