Welcome to the GTPlanet page of the OAM!

The support series of the NES

-Introduction-

The OAM (ger. for Open Automobile Chamionship) hosts championships since 2016 in GT6 using various reglements - from karts over GT4 cars to junior formula cars. It gained a lot of attraction back during the GT4 championship. And now the OAM is back with that. Taking the existing platform that we all race on I redefined the system that we used back in GT6 to create a fair and close competition.

If you are interested in being a part of that make sure to read the rulebook below. By signing in for the championship you accept these rules automatically.

Note: The races will be broadcasted live on a private YouTube channel with commentary by DirtenDK

It's a Gr.4 championship. Any AWD vehicles are excluded from the format. To make the championship more competitive and fair FWD and RWD cars are split into 2 categories, fighting for their own respective chanpionship. They score their own wins and points within the class.
On each Raceday one qualifying and two finals will be performed. The qualifying session starts 15 minutes after the lobby opened up for everyone. The session itself will last 15min before a 5min break for the first final will interrupt. both finals (races) will last 20mins and will be divided by another 5min break in between both races.

Schedule: (BST)
7.45pm - Lobby opens
8.00pm - Qualifying
8.15pm - Q over; pre-race break
8.20pm - Race 1
8.40pm - R1 over; pre-race break
8.45pm - Race 2
9.05pm - R2 over
9.10pm - Lobby closes
Any setups and tyres are allowed. BoP settings provided by the game will be used. If driver 1 is NOT on a timed but driver 2 is and closing up fast driver 1 has to let the driver behind pass as soon as possible and without any risks. If both are on a timed lap that blue flag situation will not take place. All drivers are advised to reduce the text chatting to a minimum.
Tyres and setups will also be free, no Parc Fermé. Game-provided BoP settings will also be used during the race. No further race strategy related regulations. No text chat at all during the session- breaching that will result in a 10sec penalty. The grid for R1 will be based on the Qualifying result. The grid for Race 2 is based on the results of Race 1. Ignoring blue flags and holding off faster cars brings a time penalty of 10sec and a grid penalty for the next race with it. Corner cutting and collision penalties will be given away by the game.
