Closeness of cars in chase cam

The new FT86 is way close to the bottom of the screen compared to other cars like say the Elise or Mini for that matter. Which made me wonder why there is so much variation in placement of the car in that view?

I remember doing the Mini race one time only to notice that the older "standard" Minis were farther away while the premium models seemed "closer" to the bottom of the screen. Just an observation and wondering if any of you noticed this while trying this chase cam.
 
The hood cams are all over the place too. Some are on the roof and some are on the hood/bonnet.

But inconsistency is GT5's middle name lol
