This project was made for people who are still trying to find reasons to return to Gran Turismo 4. Although I dislike collecting A-Spec points due to numerous shortcomings hidden within the A-Spec system, I have to admit that these several races I have done really encouraged me to push the very best of GT4's Arcade Mode and learn how to enjoy benefits it offers.

Basically, you need to win 200 A-spec race in both 'Normal' and 'Reverse' direction of each course available in the Arcade Mode. That means 400 A-Spec points per course or 200 points if the course doesn't support Reverse direction. Quick view of available circuits and points you can score:

World Circuits - 19 (19 x 200 = 3800)

- All circuits offer Normal direction only.​

Original Circuits - 13 ([12 x 400] + [1 x 200] = 5000)

- Only Test Course offers Normal direction, other circuits are available in both directions.​

City Circuits - 11 ([10 x 400] + [1 x 200] = 4200)

- Only Cote 'd Azur offers Normal direction, other circuits are available in both directions.​

Dirt & Snow - 7 (7 x 400 = 2800)

- All circuits offer Normal and Reverse directions.​

To make things more interesting, try to use one car per 200 A-Spec race, excluding versions of the same generation as well*. This is not mandatory, though.

* For instance, if you win a 200 A-Spec race with Nissan Skyline GT-R '89, you're not allowed to use that car again, nor any of the R32 Skyline models. However, you would be allowed to use JGTC, Nismo or GTS Type M/S models as they are completely different vehicles in terms of power, weight and drivetrain.

Special Tips
- To face 200 A-Spec race, set AI Difficulty to '10'. Alternatively, you can set it to 9 or 8, but in that case you'll probably have to visit Quick-tune icon to degrade your vehicle. Sometimes you won't get 200 points even if you set difficulty to maximum level possible. In that case, you'll have to significantly alter options in the mentioned icon.

- Dodge Ram can collect all 15800 points without much effort, it is an ultimate weapon even on notorious tracks like Ice Arena.

- If your opponents drive on stickiest tires, it is possible to persuade them to pit more often than they should or drive off the course trying to. This is especially useful when cars on the grid have access to 'Racing' tire compound.

- Using a convertible with top fully open will put you against a single opponent, regardless of the track choice. This is useful for eliminating 'traffic' and considerably faster vehicles (so-called rabbits) that often appear on full grid races.

- If you're having trouble collecting A-Spec points, don't lose hope. From my experience, winning a 200 A-Spec race in GT4's Arcade Mode is usually either impossible or ridiculously easy. Studiously examine courses and prepare a strategy.
