Clutch/H-shifter Seasonal TTs, Ascari SL & Red Bull Ring SL – July 02 to July 31



THREAD PURPOSE:
A space for clutch/H-shifter equipped wheel users to share Seasonal TT times...
...with fellow clutch & H-shifter users, hang out, and trade tips. :)

THREAD RULES:
Please take criticism/rants about GT6's clutch implementation to existing dedicated threads.
This thread is a space for clutch/H-shifter users who enjoy Seasonal events with them.

I'll be first admit that on more than one occasion the timing has invoked rig rage...
...even resulting in bent 80/20. :mad:

I'll also concede that it is less than realistic...
...but so are my wheel, clutch and brake pedals, and so on, and so on, and so on... :lol:

PARTICIPATION AND POSTING PARAMETERS:

2 Classes (Only cars that have clutch/manual trans option IRL)

1. Tuned cars within corresponding Seasonal's limits.
or
2. Bone-stock cars, no oil change, only B/B adjustment allowed.
Tire change ok to conform to Seasonal if stock car doesn't have them.

Race Car SL: Red Bull Ring & 2-Wheel Drive Cars SL: Ascari
(See seasonal TT OPs ^ for more info about events.)

Driving AIDs & ABS
No driving aids allowed except ABS optional for both Tuned & Bone Stock cars.

Posting
Please specify Event, Tuned or Bone-Stock car, ABS setting in post.

Verifiable posted times are nice, but not mandatory...
...not everyone can screenshot, take digital pics, and/or upload.

GT6 replay files, can be converted to video with a screen capture device...
...and uploaded to youtube upon request.

I can create a PSN list if there is sufficient interest.

It's awesome how accurate GT6 modelled the track, looks great! I wish they had cones in the positions in the video, I never know how much I can cut those little chicanes by. Thanks for posting the vid 👍

I'll be back to chew on this some more after some tuning.
Will use same car for bone stock too, & post replays over weekend.

Had another bash today. This time in the street '12, as you had used it and beaten me :)

Tuned KTM X-Bow Street '12 Ascari

2:09.836 MT/C (ABS 1)

Demolished my PB paddle time also with this car & tune :cheers:

Tried a few things but they don't seem to work, I am stuck :banghead:...
...can't seem to do much better with the paddles either. :lol:

Played around with the RE Amemiya RX7 race car for Red Bull Ring.
Its pretty good with @praiano63's tune and turbo to bring it up to PP.

Will try to give it a go tomorrow in my GTP_ PSN.

I'm still not making special times, but, it's interesting the sense of flexibly using the h shifter creates rowing the gears. Getting just the right gear makes the ride more organic, and visceral. I have to admit I've given over on clutch work with the g27; might be a rewarding experience with a t500.

Lol, I was feelin' good last night in single player mode testing at 1:28s. :cheers:
I used medium turbo, I'll try the high myself.
The car is great fun to drive with MT/C. :)

Lol!! Sorry mate.

I tuned exactly as written, to get the gears. Then just added the high turbo and adjusted power.
600pp, 599bhp, 86.8% power.

Handles great!!

Good choice! I don't have that 20M car for my GTP_ PSN. :indiff:
Its a pity we can't share cars like we could in GT5, maybe I'll run it in my main PSN.

Thanks for the update to your X-Bow tune, shaved a bit more time off with paddles...
...now close to your MT/C time :lol:. Will give the X-Bow another shot with MT/C soon.
