Hi guys! This is my first post in a long while... most probably becase I haven't had anything worth posting; however, I think that I might be on to something! (Although knowing my luck, someone else has noticed already )

Well anyway, the what I'm trying to ask is are we going to be navigated around circuits and runs by the co-pilot? Having just watched the new video on the News Page of this site, where we look at the interior animation as a Subaru drives around the Tokyo track, there is a point at the end of the video where the co-pilot's mouth moves. Not only this but it sounds as though he says something which sounds like a direction - "..., right" I think is what is said. (Watch the video at 0:53).

What is the likelihood that this will be implemented in the full version of the game?
Do you reckon that we will even be able to hear what the co-pilot says, or is this just something fancy that Polyphony has implemented in this build?

It would be very interesting though to be navigated, especially in rallies... no so much in circuit races, even if the rally car is being used to compete in a race

It will be cool, but i can't hear him say anything. I need to put on my Grado head set.

Nope the co drives does not says anything.. Maybe in the future game? Who knows.. But animation is there, and its cool.

Also it would be great if some Creative GTPlanetier would do a funny voice over? ;) or how about recreation of the Translator Guy?

Yes, i heard and saw it too, he mumbles something about 50 seconds into the vid, as the co-driver/ navigator is obviously included it makes sense he therefor also gives vocal instructions.
Not that far fetched either, since Dirt and previous Colin McRae titles and other rally games already include it, but it is a first for the GT-series. 👍

Sorry for the off-topic, but could someone plese help me with the name of the song that appears in this video? It has also appeared in GT5P AND GT5TT but I just haven't been able to get the name for this amazing tune. Thanks in advance ;).

"SURV1V3" by Jonathan Underdown I think :)

Yeah it was already in V-rally on PS1 so... So no big thing, it´s normal that the co-pilot tells you about the coming corners... So GT has included rallys, they must include an talking co-pilot...

The problem with GT ist that every littlie inclusion is a big thing... Damage in racing games is standard till 10 years or more but it´s a damn big thing when they include it in GT... Tire deformation, day & night cycles, weather change... That all are things that racing games from the last generation has already included... It´s nothing really epic... But the inclusion in GT seems like that it changes the hole world...

My oppinion is, all these things are a minimum and nearly 6 years after development I hope they really got innovative new features and not only things that are normal for an racing game in the late 2010...

I hear you and with any other developer I'd agree but there's something about the PD package that I'm prepared to make major allowances for. What they lack in innovation they make up for in precision and feel, IMO.

Exactly, they may take their time, but they never cut corners or take half measures when something new is implemented.

Which is great they take the time, but it may be the death of Polyphony Digital

Completely O/T:
Which Grado? Btw. I used to have the SR-225, sold that and got the SR-60 which I then sold and now I'm down to the regular iPod 'phones. None were actually for gaming- they were actually for my Sony Minidisc Walkman. At one point I had the Senn. HD580 and that to me was the perfect gaming headphones as well as for music although I'd never want to be seen in public wearing them :)

SR80 prestige. Good sound but too big and too loud for others around me to hear. So I only use them for ps3 gaming at night, as well pc use. The grado is better then my logitech speakers lol.
