Cobra Trap Speed?

At Indy, obviously, I'm pushing 156/7 on the 1/4 mile with my Shelby Cobra. Not sure what I should be hitting here compared to the rest of you guys. Good, bad, normal? Whatever I do I jsut can't seem to push it past 157. I do know that others have had it faster.

I average between 156/7 depending on where I break. And no, I'm not using the tranny trick.

You should. Get the tune right and you can beat Corvettes

Well I kind of did the trick. I like half did it. I never touched my top speed but adjust my final all the way down, then tuned accordingly and each gear I pulled the final up somewhat so I could see the rest of my gears and tune for the redline accordingly. I launch in second now.

Lower your top speed all the way, the raise your final gear all the way, set your rations and lower your final back down to get your trap speed set for the 1/4.
