First off, Frozzy thanks for you're kind reply. However, for the second reply i have never seen You're cockpit (very nice), and also am new to the idea of forums (appears my first forum experience isnt a good one) and just found the search function. Also, you don't have to be such a hypocritical D!%* as you started a thread for the same reason, sorry if i offended you. Thanks for your link; however, your presentation could be a little nicer. BTW i did use Chilicoke's cockpit idea, but made it to the dimensions of a mitsubishi Evo X.
It's obvious that you used Chili's design "as a template", OBVIOUS.
So did I
I really was just refering to the fact that your starting a new thread is counter-productive. With that said, this is only the 2nd time I've ever questioned somebody's motives on a new thread... it is NOT important. There will now be two seperate threads with info closely regarding one-another. The person after you, that copies your design, will play h3ll trying to get all the info they need. I personally don't care, why would I... mine is already built and now working on a 2nd of even more detail. Was just making a point, 'you' went off on a 12 year tangent regarding accusations.
Oh, and if you used the exact specs from a Evo X, why are you pedals WAY to close to the foot pan. Don't forget, the pedals are going to stick out another 5" or so (at a 90* from the mounting plate). Then, your measurements will be from the center of the pedal's contact plate (where your foot hits it) to the floor/seat/wheel. It is obvious that pedal mount is WAY down there in your SketchUp photo. Then again, you could have really small feet... you know what they say about guys with small feet

Just kidding; For real though, if you have the pedals THAT far down, you are definently going to need bolt-on pedal cross beams. Welding 'em on would mean that everyone else could never drive your sim. Not that the idea of it being just yyours is a bad one, just sayin'...
Additionally, if your wheel and shifter in the photo are to scale, that would mean that your shifter is about 25" to the right of the wheel and another 15" below the center of your wheel. Of course, that's assuming they are to scale, and why wouldn't they be? It is a 3D rendering of your proposed cockpit. You have long arms my friend, long arms indeed.
One more thing, your raised front area (your foot support). Just a thought here, but... wait for it... it's coming... why? It's not tall enough to fit a PS3 under there is it? If it is, by the mere 1 or 2 mm, you also have to take into accout fitting a 12v fan to keep things cool; or even your amp/sound system. Just asking, if it isn't serving any purpose, why bring it in. Chili has his on there to bring his line of site EXACTLY center of his screen, which is on a entertainment center. You refered to you Evo X but not your entertainment center. If you rasing it, be sure that rasing it is beneficial to your cause. The other side of that means your looking through your wheel a tv too low for your now raised rig.
There's a lot of stuff to consider, take into acct when designing a cockpit... hence my advice to check both of our threads. You'll save yourself a lot of time and aggrivation by taking head from two guys that have already done this (actually three, I like the other thread reply with his link). Exact measurements are key. Don't guess and don't assume; Sure, you can grind out/off mistakes but why? Design it properly and you can cut everything to your 3D schematic.
