Hey all Im thinking of buying a Logitech G27 and possibly a cockpit. Im 6'4 and 350 pounds. Does anyone make a sturdy cockpit that will support my husky butt? Also didnt want to spend to boat load of money either. Thanks.

Personally (I'm 6ft 5 in and 21st) If your intent on a rig, either get a steel one that you can change the seat on, and get a reclining bucket. You can buy wide fixed back buckets, but they're always more snug than a reclining bucket. Get to a local car accessories place and sit in some examples.

Or build your own out of wood, and just over engineer it, again, with a a reclining bucket, rather than a fixed back unit.

Obutto makes sturdy stuff.
Yes, I have to agree. I am 6' and 260lb and am running a g27 on an Obutto, no worries at all. I have had it for over a year and have put in plenty of 8 hr sessions, still comfy and still looks and works like new, great set up.

I'm more of an average sized person and i have a playseat+g27 , if you are a car nut/racing games enthusiast,
Build your own...
If i had to do it again i would start either fully custom or buying the wheel/pedals pod, real car seat, custom height to be perfectly placed against your tv, easy to get in/out. Maybe go to an exhaust/roll cage shop and recruit some help for a sturdy setup.
It may end up cheaper than the rigs, so you can buy a better (t500/fanatec) wheel

I'm a bigger guy too, 6'-2" 225 lbs. I bought a Rseat Evo 3 frame and put on a Corbeau seat, the FX1 wide (29501W). Also using a T500RS with a TH8 RS shifter. I've been using it for 2 years with no problems. Very much worth the investment. I would also look in the Sim racing hardware forum.
