cockpit HELP??

Hi, i got a g27 and an very happy with it i have been looking around for a cockpit but find the play seats to expensive and would like to make one my self. I did see the Simul8r pvc pipe one and likes it but im not to sure about how i would put my pedals because i would like to reverse them later as well. i saw Chili cokes cockpit he made and would like something like that but i cant weld cause i don't have tools to do so. Because i do like how he has an armrest by the shifter. Or if anyone has any other good ideas as a cockpit or playseat could you please show some pictures and a plan on how to make it. My budget is up to $100 Thanks

You could always make a wooden cockpit.
Just look through some of the man caves in this thread, you might find an inspiring design which you could convert to wood. There are even wooden rigs.
 
yes i did find one but i lost where it was i think it was on another site now i am very irritated buy that. but i have looked through that thread and i really like the pvc one but that is gonna be about $150 and i am not to sure about putting the pedals on it .
 
hi dude,
is there budget in mind? if not , rSeat is only about 500 and from reviews and photos it is strong as rocks, no middle post. you could mount anything on it. pretty sure ecci will go alright in that thing

Go with the simul8r's PVC and modify the pedal mount. I reverse mounted my CSP. You can see my rig Here

Yes thinkign more about it i will make the pvc one but i will make it more simple under seat because they have lots of joints under there model they have but i need to find a way for me to get the shifter on there good.
 
Just plan it out well, do a dry fit before you glue anything. Have you looked at any wheel stands? I think you can get a decent one for about $150.00 It would be a mistake to purchase all the materials unless you are 100% confident in your building skills, good luck.
 
i think i will just plan it out first i saw a nice set up on the gt5 man cave thread that looks good.
 
I made one based on wayside_scrc_2010 (chillicoke wood version) dirt cheap bunch of 2x4 and screws well under $100.00 do a search on this site, if anyone is interested in my setup I have some pic that I could post.
 
I'm thinking about making my own, I'm planning on using a spare seat out of one of my Primera's and making a frame out of wood etc...
