With all of my Logitech wheels, finding a stand was easy. I don't think it'll be so easy with the CSL Elite? I can't find a Wheel Stand Pro for it. I guess I'll have to buy a full fledged cockpit? I'd like to avoid doing this, if I could, cause when I do buy one, I want it to be a REALLY GOOD one.
For my current budget, All I could find was this:

I don't know if you have a stand for it yet like a cockpit like obutto, playseat ect

But I have the obutto ozone and when I get my CSL Elite I just plan to drill some holes on the wheel plate and bolt it on and that will do it. Save you a lot of money rather than buying a new rig

Also..i think this should be in the sim hardware section

@Famine can maybe help with that? I think.

Hope that helps

I just have wheel stands. I won't be selling them, just passing them along to the children. So, I'll need a new setup. Never heard of Obutto. I'll check them out. Thanks.

-Edit-
I think I'm just going to go with Next Level Racing and slowly build a Motion cockpit.

Moved to the appropriate section. 👍

I reviewed the GranStand cockpit over the summer, with the CSL Elite. It's been getting almost daily use since then, even if the last few weeks it's just been the wheel stand section (due to space concerns). It's solidly constructed, offers a lot of adjustments, and is a two-post design. As an occasional left-foot-braker, I find that important.

With the Elite pedals, I've had to move the clutch and throttle inboard one notch each to mount to the existing holes. I prefer it (gotta practice heel-toeing), but if you've got bigger feet (or clunky shoes), you may find it a little too close for comfort.

Well that definitely looks good, but I'm probably just going to start building a motion cockpit 1 piece at a time. Cant live your dreams if you don't put one foot forward! My wife might not even realize what I've done until months after it's been completed!

Just bought a set. I haven't even bought a wheel base yet. I was hoping to get one before GTS' launch, but it might be a week or two before I actually do get one.

I have a wheel stand pro and drilled my own three holes for the CSL elite PS4. Works great and I love how solid and compact the wheel stand pro is. I also bought the add on arm wheel stand pro sells for the Fanatec Clubsport SQ shifter, which has the right mounting holes.

If you order the Porsche wheel stand pro, it’ll come with the mounting brackets you need to mount the Fanatec V3 Pedals.

I have the CSL Elite PS4, Clubsport Shifter, V3 Inverted Pedals all on wheel stand pro and it works great. Only modification necessary was drilling the holes for mounting the wheelbase. You have to be careful to get the spacing right but it’s not that hard. Get a 1/4 inch drill bit designed for drilling steel and just a simple hand drill.

Very cool, but I decided to just slowly build a motion rig! Next purchase will be the seat attachment, then I'll save up for the actual motion mount after the holidays are over.

That is ridiculous. Annoying when you consider the great care fanatec takes with their packaging, only to have it treated like an old shoe in delivery.

So is there a wheel stand that works out of the box with the CLS Elite and Club Sport V3 pedals? For someone who is not handy with drills and such.

I think the CSL Elite has the same three mounting holes as the Clubsport V2.5 wheelbase so maybe try searching that. I couldn’t find a compact one that had those mounting holes out of the box that I liked though. Wheel stand pro definitely doesn’t not have those holes predrilled as of now

Next Level racing stand says it's compatible with all major brands wheels and pedals, but it doesn't line up with my pedals at all.
Not too worried about mounting my pedals as these babies are solid and aren't going anywhere. I'm more worried about the stand sliding. I'll be putting it on a rubber mat.

Can't test the wheel base, because I haven't gotten my CSL E set yet. I have faith that they'll be fine, though.

I don’t think the CSL Elite will mount on that - I don’t see the three holes you need (Fanatec’s website has a drilling template that shows you how far apart the three holes need to be from each other....

Well then, looks like I have a project on my hands...
Looks like I can get away with drilling one on the top. "fingers crossed"

Either way it’s not that hard, don’t worry! The drill bit I got is cobalt coated (cuts steel better) and cost like $8. You should get one that’s 1/4 inch or slightly larger. Then my drill is a simple hand drill I got in a kit on amazon for cheap. That’s all you need. Key is to measure carefully so the hole is in the right place! Start drilling very slowly to get a little indent in the exact point you want (so the drill doesn’t slip to a different position), and then you can pick up the speed. Good luck!

Noted!!
I have the tools, but the skill is another thing entirely!! I'll let you know how it goes when it arrives this Friday!

You know, what ever happened to Fanatech's own wheel stand? Was it discontinued?
Yeah that was discontinued unfortunately. It looked like it was basically a wheel stand pro. I don’t think even that one had the new 3 hole mounting holes though. Up until recently Fanatec had a 4 hole mount pattern

So it arrived:bowdown:
2 out of 3 mounting holes available! Just going to roll with these until I get my printer to behave.

Wheeeeeew this this is powerful! And hard to configure. I can see more than a couple reasons why I was told that my G27 was a "nice starter wheel". I decided to try to get it to work on project cars for PC, since I thought it would be the easiest. Not getting any FFB from the wheel or the pedals.

The simetik k2 is just amazing for the csl elite and the cs v3 pedals I highly recommend this setup. Sturdy as hell and way cheaper than that rennsport
