A long time ago, I ran some GT1 challenges that were, shall we say, unconventional.
One was a gymkhana around the Autumn Ring, one was a 25,000cr challenge, that kind of thing.
Well, I thought I'd put a couple of oddball ideas out, just for fun, see how many takers there are.
Challenge 1: French Connection vs Ring-o-ring-o-roses.

Pick a muscle car. In fact, anything pre-'75, FR-drive will do with over 200hp - so Jensen, 300SL and E-Type are good too. Put Economy tyres on it, no driving aids. When in setup, add or take away as much weight or power as you like, it's up to you.
Get started, and turn on the ghost. Cruise up to the chequered start line and stop before it, to the right of the solid centreline.
What we're going to do is cruise around the first lap at 40mph/65kph. You should attempt to keep up to this speed down the straights. For the tight corners you may slow down as much as you like. For the 90degree or under (i.e. coming back on yourself) I suggest you slow down to 0, then pull away slowly. Minimise your tyre squeal, you're almost out for a Saturday night cruise. If there is a well-defined centreline, keep to the right of it.
That was the first lap, you should clock at 3m05s to 3m20s - it doesn't matter much what it is - and drive over the line as normal (at ~40mph!) As soon as you're over the line, pull across hard right and stop as if you're parking. You will see your ghost passing you on the left as it takes off from standstill...
Second lap rules! You must pass on the left and then stop on the right to let the ghost past as many times as possible. Aim to be well clear of your ghost, try not to clatter the barriers when you pass/park. When you're approaching the end of the lap, pull across to the lane which gets cut off by the red/white barriers before the line and wait for your ghost to pass. Time to stop and check/save your replay.
Scoring is easy. Number of clean passes on the left. If the ghosts clash, it doesn't count. If you hit a barrier, that's a demerit. You will hit them, no-one parks well in Paris.
I took out a Dodge Charger to do this first time (for the noise) scored 13 passes (actually 14, with one ghost clash) and 3 demerits so I would declare:
Dodge Charger, +20% power, -10% weight: 13 passes/3 demerits.
I would say 5 demerits is a lost pass  so 13 passes / 2 demerits wins over 14 passes / 8 demerits (i.e. 14-1=13 passes, 8-5=3 demerits.) Got to keep us from battering the barriers too hard.
You'll have to exit to the menus to repeat, but it's only a bit of fun, I don't think people should be trying tooooo hard!
You don't have to, because it's for fun, but post your full replays (of about 6m30seconds, cruise lap and pass lap) any way you like (MAX file or Youtube) for others to view.
I'm going to try to get one up so you can see what I'm talking about, but it's a bit late now for me.
If this kind of thing floats your boat, have a go!
