Who noticed this:

"Coffee Break

These are mini-games that appear between events in the Career Mode. There are many challenges that can be tried over and over again, such as a cone knockdown event inside a stadium, and eco-challenges where you compete for how far you can drive on just 1 litre of petrol."

? :)

What else could be part of this?

I'd imagine something similar to the bus race on TGTT is likely; perhaps Lunar Rovers on a kart track?

Maybe. I would be surprised if they released some kind of Moon track and added specific coffee breaks.

Gymkhana? ala GT4 P?,just a thought.

I thought Gymkhana was all but confirmed in a screenshot... I could've misread the post though (it was quite early today)

I also know i'm rubbish at it..

Reminds me of the coffee breaks in the license tests of GT4. I may be mistaken, but I don't even think completing them counted towards anything.

No they didn't if I recall,just a practice thing I think.

Nice. I'm looking forward to a eco-challenge. I really do!
It does also remind me of GT4 indeed.

I'm so glad that these are returning. Was kinda disappointed that they wasn't on GT5.

I suppose, depending on how the damage is programmed, maybe there can be a demolition derby challenge?

On second thought... nah. This is Gran Turismo, not Twisted Metal.

From the description of the new Gran Turismo Arena circuit:
"You can also remove the cornerstones and corner barriers to set up a variety of attractions using cones."

Yeah, this just sounds like a returning feature that has been added to (possibly - it's all speculation until we try it out ourselves.) I enjoyed the coffee breaks in the license tests - nice bit of relief.

Relief? I was stressed with the 350Z convertible coffee break in the maze and the Copen invisible cone exercise. :banghead:

Ah ha thanks for helping me remember where these coffee breaks came from.

I hated it so much
and the Klugheleinsteiferbirblubebrhainenwarvenglagh race

I enjoyed the coffee breaks on GT4 and it will make a nice little extra fun although im sure some people will complain about them. Will there be leaderboards online for these because that might make them even better?

The only one that I hated out of the bunch was the Elise one.

Ya, the eco-challenge will be nice, specially if the also make some like the one in GT4P (time attack on Tsukuba with a Prius with time and fuel average consumption targets at the same time, really liked it back then and was sad that it didn't made it to GT4 at the time, those things are really what makes those cars having any meaning to be in the game, since they aren't normal cars, then get them special challenges too).

I wonder if we can get the electric cars into the eco-challenge too (even if it wouldn't be how far they would get in 1 liter of petrol...)

Have they released any news on what the challenges will actually be? I know about the fuel one and surely there must be more

With regard to the 1 litre challenge - shifter should help considerably, I will try to freewheel! unless it's also time based.
