Just wondering if anyone had an idea on how much they were going to be spending on the coming semester. I am paying my fees today. 609.70 is the total for me for just the classes. I estimate my books are going to be about 250.00-300.00.

Any college students out there?

When I wasin college last semester I paid $4000 for the course, $250 for parking permit, about $500 on books so I paid close to $5000 bucks, which isnt really too much. Its when you get into university courses that costs really start to add up.

Magic - where are you going? Those rates don't sound too bad.

I got out of graduate school $15,000 in student loan debt. I just paid that off earlier this year.

When I was in college, ummm... wow, eight years ago now, I paid $12,000 a year, or, $4000.00 a trimester. I can't remember how that breaks down, though.

Grants. About 6-8 weeks into the semester they send me a check for whatever money they didnt use. Its usually around $900 that they send me. :D

I am in a small community college. I know I know, I shouldn't be complaining, but hey when you have to fork that money over straight out of your pockets no help what so ever, it hurts.

I hope to do well in the small school, so I might get some help in the University I attend. :D

Speaking of which, if anyone cares, I got striaght A's this semester! (4 classes)

The charges for my classes (four of them) are about $2000, but I have grants to cover all of those. I'll probably get about $400 back. My books will be approximately $300 total.. maybe a little less. I expect that I'll have to contribute to my education once I get my bachelor degree.. I don't know how much financial aid helps with graduate school.

Congratulations! Which classes did you take? I got straight A's, too :D I had Psychology, Sociology, Business Math and Music. Next semester I'll have Child Growth and Development, Introduction to Corrections, Principles of Marketing and Intro to Software for Businesses.

I got a basic full ride scholarship to Pennsylvania (because they wanted a 'more diverse' student body) but I and my parents had to pay $13,700 a year or something very close for graduate school at Florida.

I didn't buy a parking pass -- I got at no fewer than 50 university-issued tickets (I'm not a sucker, though! I didn't pay any of them! And I sold the car when I graduated!). I bought all my books used, as all normal students do. :)
