I would like to start a list of common Performance Points restrictions placed on online races. I have this one-sided issue of mis-tuning my car for different PP types on races. What commonly used PP settings are set by online lobbies?

400, 420, 450, 500, 520, 550, 600, 625, 650 all roadcars..

Edit: these are the most common I've seen and raced in, so far I prefer 450, 520, 600 and 625 with SH-SS tyres. Hard up to 600, and soft above 625

Edit 2: I would also be interesserte to know what ppl mostly drives

I'm mostly doing increments of 50 right now but will probably cut that to increments of 25 soon

So far I have mostly been racing 500 and 550 road cars

Most of what's out there for RACING (non-Nascar) is 500-600pp. Its all mostly street cars by a wide margin. Rarely will you see any LMPs. A little more often you'll see GT3s to GT500's. If you tune 500, 550 & 600 you'll be fine for most of what's out there.

I've been racing a lot of 450pp. Anything between 450-550 pp on sports hard is were I'm at.

It depends.
To irritate people I set it to 220 BHP and 400PP. :D
Sometimes I don't set a PP limit at all but I regulate that only Fiats and Abarths are allowed.
But when I organize serious races I say road going cars under 700pp are allowed.

I usually start low at 450 or below, then increase by about 25 each race until we eventually reach 730. Then to a different track and we repeat

You race the same tracks over just with a different pp? Do you not get bored by the 4th re-run of the track?

Personally I had a few good races at 570 yesterday, my 02 Viper vs a S2000, interesting how two totally different cars came to be so evenly matched.

I see plenty consisting of 500pp and 550pp. Should put that as the common choices.
List will be consulted to the OP post soon.

The S.N.A.I.L.S. I think got it right. Race a track twice. First time with a Qualifier. 2nd time reverse grid of the previous results. The winner becomes last. Last becomes first. The switch tracks. In online mode I'd run four races at the same PP then swtich to a different PP. You get a variety of tracks and a variety of cars. Also start low (pp) and work up. Nothings worse than driving a fast car then switching to a slow car.

450-550 is probably the most common for road cars, 550 to 650 for race cars, and then of course come the Le Mans Prototypes which go up around 700.
This system and the numbers haven't changed much compared to GT5. Only some car PP numbers.

I started tuning some cars, these are my choices so far:

500 pp: Scion FR-Z
550 pp: Pontiac Firebird
600 pp: Corvette C7
650 pp: Ford Mustang GT500

Only managed to try the Firebird online, and it was pretty good. It does try to roll over sometimes in sharp corners. Any ideas on how to fix this?
