about this adapter i have a question or two
Right now i have my laptop hooked up to a 24" insignia (the tv has VGA In) VGA to VGA but id like to hook it up to my 42" Panasonic no VGA input. in a simple way will this work if i just use the yellow plug and not the rest should't it still work to get video output to my pani?
EDIT
After relooking it up appearently RGA uses a lower Res than VGA can anyone point out another solution for me but not to expensive?

The quality would be very poor. I take it there is no HDMI or DVI output on your laptop?

Video out from a laptop (the yellow RCA plug) will be VERY low quality, and useless at resolutions higher than 800x600, and maybe not very good even then. Also, the video driver for that plug tends to err on the side of caution when it comes to overscan, meaning that in order to be sure part of your picture isn't actually off the edge of the screen, it makes it smaller than it needs to be, leaving a lot of black around the screen edges.
If the TV is not an HD set, i.e. nothing better than Video or S-Video, then it's pointless to think about putting a comnputer display on it.
If it has component or HDMI inputs, there are converters out there for VGA to whatever, but not cheaply.
