WWII Real Time Strategy anyone?

I ended up taking a 4 hour lunch today doing a couple of the campaigns. Very fun if your into RTS. Sorry no screen shots yet, too busy playing. ;)

Anyone else check this game out by THQ and Relic?

I've seen the video review and I'm pretty keen on trying the game out. I'm not a huge fan of RTSs but I did like the C&C Generals series. It has quite nice graphics too (I like the destructible buildings part)!

Oh, by the way, it's called Company of Heroes ;)

:dunce: My bad... Thanks for that correction. 👍

Best.RTS.Ever. 👍

I'm about halfway through the campaign at the moment. It's great, and the medals add some extra challenge to the game.

It's a very physics-based games. Ie: if you use artillery to bombard and area, you can use the craters left behind for cover and have your squad receive a cover bonus where they take less damage.

The main thing that annoys me though is how stupid the tanks are. Not only do they run into each other and stop dead in their tracks, trying to decide who should move first, they always decide the best route to the target location is directly over the top of the sandbags and barbed wire defenses I just set up.

Just got done doing a couple sessions with my Nephew on multi-player against some AI. LOL, it was pretty fun..., not too far in the Campaign just yet.

Yeah, very cool! Body parts flying, engineers building, tanks destroying, and rangers flailing rockets through the air while grabbing an Axis MG-42 for strategic placement. Yeah, I like it.

Personally I think Rangers are the most useless infantry in the game. They constantly miss the target and do little damage - I'd rather use my command points for something better. Airborne with recoiless rifles are by far the best anti-tank infantry, well, on the Allies side at least.

I don't have any graphics programs installed yet, you image shak can't use my 1600x1200 game play screen shot. Here's the best 1024x768 scaled down as I could get.

I accidently made a thread about this in ps2. This game is simply awesome. i dont even play strategy games like this but Ive played one little part of a campaign and im addicted.

You know CoH style gameplay was fused with the Dawn of War franchise and turned into one rippingly fun "action RTS" called Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II. So if you are really enjoying CoH that much, definitely keep this one in mind.
