i'm in the market for a used car, and a large factor in making my decision is insurance costs. it's a huge pain to go through an insurance website 10 different times to compare different cars, is there any site where i can go to just put in my information for myself once and select several cars and see which ones are cheaper?

Doubtful, there's so many reasons why insurance varies from owner to owner, that no one website is going to parse all that much information for free without some sort of biased answer to get you to buy Brand X's insurance.

You'll just have to spend 15 at every website, 8-10 times to get your answer. Know how long that used to take 15 years ago? Well, it depends if you use a telephone or not, let them call you back after you give them the basics and you find out who has the policy you want.

Your age, address, car(s), commute length, where you park it, driving record, et cetera all play a role in your rate. Want the state minimum, or do you wonder what happens if you hit an S-class Mercedes? Need rental coverage, aftermarket insurance, or uninsured motorist coverage? Had a DUI, owe child support, had a suspension? Pay up...

This is why I'm glad a live in BC. Standardized rates. Takes about 5-10 questions and you have your quote no matter where you get the insurance from, all the same.

Wickedly expensive here though for under 25 drivers.

Well that doesn't really help me at all, but thanks for the replies anyway. i've been doing just that, spending all that time at each site for each car, but i was hoping there could be an easier way. it's whatever.
