I have finished with Aspec and just want to race for fun now. I am the sort of person who has to fully upgrade every car I have to the max. My problem is I go into practice mode and chosse same car race and all the cars Im pitted with are unmodified and I pass them in 2 seconds. So I go to arcade choose proffesional and if I choose sports tyres I pitted against a variety of competetors who are easy to beat, if i choose racing tyres I'm against a pack of white Citroën prototypes that are also easy to beat. Am I doing something wrong or are we not suppost to modify our cars?
 
If you fully tune a car, it's handling gets better as well. And I don't think the game gives you opponents according to the handling of your car.
 
I think you dug up another thing noone at PD thought about. As I see it, the only way you have left is finding a race in GT mode where you can enter your car, and where the opponents are about equal. I know it's a less than satisfying solution (if one at all), but it's the only thing I can come up with.

I really don't understand why they don't give us freely configurable races where you can choose opponent cars and a handful of different grades of tuning for them. How long before some clever guys would make a huge laptime database (maybe even a standalone application for your computer) with AI laptimes for all cars on all tracks and all tuning grades? The only thing you'd need to do is have a free run with your car on the track, remember the laptime and then choose a set of opponent cars with roughly the same time. Them probably being faster on the straights and slower in the bends (or the other way around) will produce some variety, but near-identical laptime capabilities will provide a good overall challenge.
 
Take your cars to Arcade mode? or even on hard is that too easy?

Also if you create a custom track - you can get a race on that track in GT life mode with some matched competition - might work for most cars...

Some options to try - let us know what you think - as I am fast approaching the same position...
