GT Planet did not claim ownership of your video.

The post on the main news page of GT Planet carried a link to this post.....

....which quite clearly thanks and credits you.

I will however ask Jordan if a credit can also be included in the main news feature.

That's not within my control, you need to PM the site owner, Jordan, regarding it.

I would also suggest that being a bit more polite than you have done so far would help matter a great deal as well. I understand that you may feel a bit put out by this, but that does not warrant the aggressive manner in which you are posting.

I must be missing something here, someone re-posted this guys video on youtube under the name GTPlanet with no permission or credit given on the youtube entry for the video and he's being called rude for complaining and the explanation for no credit is that he didn't use the cockpit view?

Have I got something wrong here?

Absolutely nothing. I think TCSdisable is right even if he was too direct and didn't use the magic word ("please").
Jordan always gives credits for evey single news posted by community members.... don't know what happened here...

Put his name on the video's description...please.

why does this matter? why would the TS get any satisfaction out of this.. its his copy of the video game footage so shouldnt they be the only ones getting credit for this?

i've seen that video many times with different users.

get over it.

I dunno how you would feel if you would upload something on YouTube, another person downloads it and uploads it on his own page without giving you credit for it.

TCSdisable is absolutely right here.

what was the reason for them re-uploading as opposed to just giving a link to the already uploaded video?

All his titles are in Japanese... nobody stole any subscibers from him.
Anywho, I guess he is right, but whatevs.

Your 1st line would be more forgivable, if it were not for the 2nd and 3rd.

He's only asking for credit. Would we rather not have people share their videos?

LOL, if you must know mate, i couldn't careless if someone stole my video on youtube. i got more important things in life to worry about.

He's contacted me privately and I've apologized and updated the blog post and YouTube description accordingly. It's very irritating to not receive credit for something you've done, but I find it even more annoying to find someone else credited for your work. So, if I don't know where something came from (and I find YouTube GT clips are rarely uploaded by the people who created them), I don't mention anything. Fortunately, the original creator has come forward in this case and we can give credit where credit is due. :)

I re-upload all GT-related clips to the YouTube channel so that GTPlanet's subscribers can be notified of them and see them.

As always from Jordan, a fair solution. Well done 👍.

All his titles are in Japanese...

Japanese = False
Chinese = True

***************

This footage is not a copy, this is my own performance in AGS'09 GT5 competition.

I don't care any credit, like my friend mattforce5 did.

I did care someone Copy and Re-upload in others YouTube account, without I actually got an acknowledgement.

My recent Rand Paul video has had this done to it twice that I know of now. No credit was given to me and it is obvious as we all show up in each others' Related Videos list. One of them has a picture of herself on her page and I know for a fact she wasn't even at the speech.

At first I was bothered by it, but then decided I didn't care. I am not sure why they didn't just click the Favorite button to put it on their channel. It seems like they went through a lot of effort (one even renamed the original file) when a button click would achieve the same thing.

That said, TCSdisable has every right to make this request. Not only did he film it, but it is also his own performance.
