I gave Pako a tip a long while back, buy the RGT in Sim Mode and go to Run and Setting and practice practice practice!

Good luck.

practice practice practice and best of luck took me almost 4 days to finally get it and that was because i finally got p*ssed off and got tired of doing it over and over again just dont let the anger of failing get the better of you and in time with due patience you shall be rewarded :)

Ok, so call me stupid, but where are the time trials, lol. Also, I'm guessing that you have a set car you have to run them with, (mainly talking about complex string here). I'm guessing this because a few days ago, I'm pretty sure I ran a 4.47 time on her, in a goof-mobile. (meaning a stock car with all engine mods and sport tires, for goofing off) (for some reason I thought there was a posted time of like 5.52 you had to beat, in this thread, but I seem to be mistaken)

WTF!!!!!! I just went to try time trials for my first time and you can't turn the traction control or yaw control off????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

First time I tried this time trial I looked at this 4'58 and thought it would be easy as the other time trials... I did 5'05 and said to myself "it's impossible!!!".
Well, after trying to stay in front of my ghost car for about 2 hours I came up with 4'52 and didn't believe I did it almost 13
seconds better than the first try.

I think the same impression is present in the S license tests...
So, keep running and the right turns will come :cheeburga

Just stick with it!

The key to this track and all the others is to know every corner, staright, brow, rumble strip, cone, grass area, dirt, split time section etc.... first. Then it's just a matter of learning the breaking distances and when to turn in and hit your Apex's. Just keep in there and eventually you'll do it. Damn fine feeling when you finally crack it.

My personal best is a 4:43.5xx

I'm just having trouble getting used ot the traction and yaw control crap. If you know how to drive, that stuff really limits the ways in which you can take a corner..

Yes I agree and personally don't like any of the assists being on like ASM & TCS. Unfortuantely in the Time Trials and License tests you can't change 'em and gotta live with 'em.

Yea, tell me about it, hehehe. I need to go try it in simulation and see what I can really do :D I've run 4 trials, just for the heck of it now, and each of them I came in about a second behind, on my first try. Complex string I was like 15 seconds off bronze tho, lol. I will practice tho!!!

Isn't that a function of the Arcade Options? I thought you could adjust that in there ...

The options to switch ASM & TCS on/off don't work in Time Trail or license tests. They work in normal Arcade Races and free run though. ;)

Nice one  I think my best is a 4'50.XXX its like 1 second below the best of the designers :)

ASM and TCS can indeed be turned on and off in the "options" menu. You get that one between races (or in this case - "attempts") too, so you won't have too return to the main menu to turn them on or off if you want to explore the differences.

At least this is true for the PAL version.
I still haven't finished that bastich! A coule of seconds off still. ;)

I just passed the Complex String TT with a 4.52.122. I think my first try resulted in a 5.08.???. I thougt I would never be able to shave 16 seconds off my time.

Thanks to all for the tips.

Just wanted to share my joy at nailing this sucker last night!
4.49 and a tenth or two!

Practice practice practice is indeed the best advice for this one. Race your ghost and see where you can shave off those tenths and hundredths.
The bendy hills (or hilly bends) towards the end can be taken almost flat out and straight on if you do it right, huge time bonus to be gained, instant "fail" if you mess it up... ;)

This place has alot of areas where you can make up time and lots of places to lose time so its tricky, Ill see what time i can get.
