Computer freezes here

My computer, a 800 mhz Athlon, Windows ME, IE 5.5 i think, crashes online...usually when I come to the GTPlanet forums. I'm at school right now and this computer works fine. Any suggestions, patches or options that I should try? Thanks.
 
Dump your cache and do a clean shutdown (with the start menu ...) Usually the computer just needs to take a breather (:

Yeah, try LoudMusic's suggestion. What browser are you accessing the site with?
 
Hey my comp goes all funny if I access certain threads, like all these wierd lines and such thru it.
But that may be cause my comp is a crappy little 266 Mhz ... DAMN old man, could have got a faster, better looking one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It only happens on certain threads? It appears to me that would have to be a monitor or video card problem. Could you post a screenshot when it happens?
